Went out for a staff meal for 9. Very convenient location one block from the front of Cardiff Central Station. We were prompt registered in and shown to our table. Bar was reasonably priced and the food was excellent and good value for money. Plenty of starters, different meats, fish, Indian and Chinese food available, as well as a fast food and desert section with cakes, ice cream sweets and jelly. Everyone loved itnWe will definitely be going back. Great night out.
Have always been a fan of JRC Global for years and have always loved going to the site in Cardiff Bay so when I heard about a new site opening in Cardiff Stadium I knew I had to try it out.nnOverall, the only thing I liked about this new site was the interior of the entrance and the seating area. I don't know what it was when I went but the food kinda tasted different than the old JRC, not in a bad way but I remember not really feeling the food AND i also felt there's now fewer food choices.nnAnother thing I'm not a fan of if the distance between the seating area and the buffet. I feel like it's too long of a distance whereas the old site, the distance was perfect as the food was right there next to you and I know I keep comparing but if you ask me, the old Cardiff Bay site was THE one.nnThey also don't have refillable drinks like the last one too and you gotta pay either £3 or £4 for a cokennSadly I won't be coming again unless maybe they bring back refillable drinks...and more food so its an actual all you can eat buffet don't waste your time and money.
Where do I start.. Had a emotional experience at this restaurant on the 18th of December 2024... After phoning to book a table and for my boyfriends birthday as we did the previous year, free meal and all that.. and being told that we didn't need to book we can just walk in. Grate I thought.nNo.. the restaurant decided it has moved location! 33 minute walk from the original place! Quick drive to new location and as it stated on Google open till 10pm. We arrived at 8.45 after a palaver of parking.nAnyway gets there and finds out we can't get a free birthday meal as we needed to book in advance. Bare in mind I spoke to someone previously about this and they said we can walk in.n8.45pm getting to the restaurant absolutely starving and paying the £25pp, then to be told they shutting up food at 9.30pm..nRite 45 minutes to demolish any meat or fish we can to make up for the £25 just spent. There was 5 of us so a quick £125 swiped from us. Between being seated 2 minutes walk from the buffet. Using bathroom and ordering a drink. We had about 20 minutes to eat. No lie we was like supermarket sweep running up and down the aisles. Balancing food like a game of buckaroo.nFood was cold. Staff wanted us out before we finished food. Pints where foul. Gutted. Never again.
Can here for my sons 21st, staff very friendly food was good but some needed attention, icecreams were all melted and food not hot enough. Deserts were lovely. Kids enjoyed there evening. Such a shame about the toilets, you couldn't sit too close to the toilet as that would be all you could smell. Hopefully all sorted by our next visit.
