Story

Situated in the vibrant heart of Cardiff Bay, Moksh is a unique, multi-award winning restaurant. Considered by critics as the ‘Lady Gaga of Indians’, you will discover that dishes venture away from those found in a traditional Indian restaurant. The menus at Moksh balance flavour, colour and texture, creating innovative and inspiring choices while remaining authentic to Indian cuisine. Chef Stephen’s imagination and skills emanate throughout, as dishes draw inspiration from his travels on the sub-continent… experience the culinary journey yourself as you explore each tantalising course.

Since opening, it has become very popular and advanced booking is recommended. Stephen has developed a distinctive restaurant concept which blends traditional and authentic Indian flavours with contemporary presentation. He balances the fine dining experience he acquired while working in the hotel industry with the aromatic flavours of his childhood, and brings it to Moksh.

As a result, Stephen has been named Ethnic Chef of the Year at the recent Craft Guild of Chef’s Awards 2015. Moksh has also been awarded a two AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence in 2016; the first Indian restaurant in Wales to achieve this prestigious accolade.
