Vegan Review: You know how most places add on some token dish to allow Vegans to eat in their restaurant? This wasn't the case at Bar 44 at all. The food is imaginative, varied, with great portion sizes! They even have a Vegan wine list! Staff were excellent. Can not rate this place highly enough for Vegans!

The atmosphere is great, the staff are brilliant and very attentive. The food was also really good. Problem is there was just not enough of it. I appreciate you can order as much as you like but we had already got to £30 a head and was still hungry and we do not have massive appetites...i appreciate it's tapas but portion sizes let them down. Shame as a nice place. If we had carried on and drunk and eaten more the bill would have been over £50 a head making this an expensive place per meal.

Fantastic quality and quantity of food. The staff were extremely accommodating despite us turning up without a reservation on a very busy night. The menu is simple, but delicious, focusing on quality of dishes rather than the massive array one would normally associated with a Spanish restaurant, but still maintains enough range that there is something for every palate. I cannot fault the staff at all, every member of the team worked seamlessly to ensure that everybody had a great night. When running out of some dishes, the staff were genuinely apologetic, and worked for find a solution. Very well worth a visit!

This Cardiff venue is interesting and unique, with, when I went, a quartet playing downtempo jazz. A broad range of cocktails served by apparently experienced staff, who are also friendly and welcoming. Good night out.
