Comfy beds and pillows made for a good night’s rest, and the room was well equipped with reliable air conditioning/heating and plenty of hot water. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities including tea and coffee facilities, a mini fridge, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, safe, and the fun football themed toiletries. The views were lovely and the location is excellent, just a short walk to the stadium, about 15 minutes by car to Manchester Piccadilly, and around 10 minutes to the Trafford Centre.nnOne major disappointment was the loud music coming from downstairs which kept me awake until around 2am. The room is also showing signs of wear and tear that need attention, especially given the hotel’s 4 star rating. The décor is quite basic, and the bed linen and towels felt worn more in line with a 3 star standard. That said, the hotel is incredibly clean and spotless throughout, which I really appreciated.nnBreakfast was enjoyable, with lovely fresh croissants and pastries. I wasn’t particularly keen on the avocado and poached eggs, but service was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.
ABSOLUTELY A MUST STAY! Everything was top notch! The 92 room was just the icing on the cake for my husband's birthday celebration a lifelong fan but his first trip to see a Manchester United game at Old Trafford. They decorated the room to make it even more special! The entire staff were so attentive, accommodating, and polite we felt like VIPs the entire trip, location and view from room was terrific.. RIGHT next to the stadium, bed was super comfy, and hospitality also a MUST was excellent both before and after the game! A special thank you to Chanel for recommending that and for answering all of my questions before, during, and after our stay!!! Also, we saw 2 legends at the hotel - Brian McClair and Denis Irwin along with Alan Keegan, the voice of Old Trafford! I just can't thank Hotel Football enough for making my husband's lifelong dream come true and made it even better than anyone expected!
We stayed one night at Hotel Football in Manchester and had an incredible experience. The location is unbeatable—right next to Old Trafford, perfect if you’re visiting the stadium or the Megastore.nnA huge thank you to the manager, Mohammed, for taking such great care of us. Even though our stay was short, he helped prepare everything ahead of time and made us feel genuinely welcomed. He also surprised us with a complimentary drink card for the bar and a 10% voucher for the Old Trafford Megastore, which was a really nice touch.nnMost importantly, I lost my backpack on the train from London to Manchester, and Mohammed truly stepped up—he called the train company, followed up, and did everything he could to help recover it. That kind of support is rare and made a stressful situation so much easier.nnThis is honestly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, and it’s exactly why I stay loyal to the Marriott family. Highly recommended!
We recently stayed here for the game after travelling from Paris. The staff were amazing, such a good location to the stadium, and the rooms were really spacious.nThe bars + restaurants also had a really great atmosphere after the game. On game days and after the staff just seem like a really well oiled machine and everything runs very smoothly, we were impressed!nHighly recommend
Great venue, great location, would stay again! nnWe booked the Class of 92 room which is located on the 8th floor and were massive fans of the facilities, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.nnThe room was genuinely spotless with great decor, robes in the wardrobe alongside complimentary slippers. The bathroom was great, although there were problems with the drainage in terms of it being a bit slow to drain in both the shower and sink, but we were only there for one night and it didn’t impact much at all.nnThe bed was clean alongside the rest of the room with a TV fitted with Sky Sports and BT Sport channels which make perfect viewing in a perfect location. There was also a mini fridge with two beers, two waters, two Vimto’s and some sweets which were great.nnOn the 9th floor, referred to as floor ‘H’ is the rooftop football pitch which was spectacular. We visited on a Sunday evening in mid September so it was quiet and clean with footballs already provided. The views of the Manchester skyline were also superb.nnThere was also a fitness suite in the hotel, which was quaint but had everything you need. By any means it wasn’t perfect for a gym enthusiast but for a casual gymgoer and someone who wants to stay in shape - it’s more than fine. There was water bottles provided with towels and two television screens with all the necessary channels, including Sky and BT.nnThe staff were very friendly and helpful alongside those in the cafe on the ground floor, who would refill your water bottles free of charge to contribute towards the environment and make everything easier for the customer which was fantastic.
