Wow! Absolutely excellent from the moment we entered the building.nOur first stay at the Midland for our wedding anniversary, will not be our last.nThe staff were exceptional, rooms were stunning and we were made to feel very special.nThe check in was friendly and straight forward, bar staff couldn't do enough for you and cleaners when walking around the hotel were very friendly.nBreakfast was excellent, the fresh omelette and pancake chef was a lovely touch.nHave recommended to everyone we have spoken too.nTop class, thank you
I loved the outside and reception area which was well decorated and maintained.nnHad my breakfast which had decent options and the area was lovely atmosphere.nnThe room though was smaller than other hotels I used to stay in Manchester.nnI was feeling cold despite me keeping the heating at maximum. So I had to ask for portable heater which worked well.nnThe room itself had a cupboard, mini fridge, complimentary water,tea, coffee,biscuits which was handy.nnWindow view had some broken glass piece and unwanted stuff in that small area which was unpleasant. Would have been nice if that area was maintained well [picture attached]nnFinally they reception staff who checked me in was very nice. But I registered to their loyalty club and provided the staff with that number so that I can start collecting points for my current and future visits. As the staff who was checking me in could not add my club card number he asked his senior for assistance. The senior who came seemed unpleasant as I heard him saying to the checking in staff,just add the clubcard number, but anyway she won't get points due to her type of booking. If that was the case, it would have been more polite if the senistaff directly mentioned it to me with explanation as I don't know why I wouldn't earn points for my staff. Decided not to make any future bookings at this place.
Had an amazing experience staying at Midland Hotel while I was there for a conference. Excellent location, very central. Super nice and excellent staffnRooms/beds are so comfy. Great food. Great atmosphere.. A special mention goes to Elisabette, who looked after us at breakfast. So pleasant, nice and professional. Thanks to all the reception staff too. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Room was clean and comfy - air con was a dream in this heatwave! The shower pressure was pretty poor, as was the toilet flush - had I been staying longer I'd probably have flagged it as an issue. You should have made it clear to guests that you were hosting graduation as it made the bar/entrance area incredibly chaotic - this had no bearing on my comfort in my room, but did mean I didn't feel I could access the bar which was a shame. All staff I encountered were friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect - a 10min walk to everything I wanted to see and transport links to anywhere that was further away.
My partner and I stayed for seven days in an Executive King Room. The room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The decor of the reception area is impressive and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.nnThe location is perfect, rated 5/5, as it is centrally situated in the heart of the city. Naturally, the hotel is on the higher end in terms of price, and I had certain expectations that perhaps could have been better met.nnThere are a few issues that need attention, where the toilet seat is loose and moves when sat upon. The pillows were not very comfortable, and an extra pillow costs £6, which I found a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the room does not feature a fridge; instead, it has a cooler that only prolongs the chill of your drinks without actually cooling them effectively.nnLastly, I was disappointed when we requested two pint glasses for the room and were advised that pint glasses are only available for the bar. This was a first for me during my hotel stays, and I believe this is an area where management could improve to enhance guest experience.nnOverall, it’s a decent hotel with a fantastic location, but there are areas for improvement to meet the standards expected at this price point.
