It was a great experience. I purchased a spa bread deal with my friend. We arrived for our treatments at 2pm at the reception of the spa. We did the consultation, picked our treatments and we got robes and towels and were taken to a changing room. The treatment was really good. I had back massage, exfoliation and mini facial. The relaxation room is a great experience! The facilities are ok although we didn’t use much of them. Room was lovely but there was a stain on my duvet and on the carpet. We went to town for some food and then came back. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice and the food was tasty, except the scrambled eggs… I never tasted anything tasteless and of wired consistency…nnOverall highly recommend!
Visited to meet some friends who were staying there.nDidn't see inside a bedroom but the toilets were very cleannSat inside for a coffee.nThe staff were friendly and politenThe Barman I spoke to when ordering coffee was very knowledgeable on single malt whisky and we had an interesting and pleasant conversation.nSurprised that the coffee we ordered was comparable in price to other locations considering the Hotel rating.nEnjoyed the coffee and catching up with my friends.nWould I go again yes, should have got my friends to show me their roomsnNice to see how the other half livenReally nice to sit in one of the comfortable chairs enjoy a coffee and chat with my friends.
Very nice hotel, large room was clean and tidy. Food and service was also very good. The only small gripe was the receptionists, who granted, were very busy could have been a little nicer and have a smile on their faces.
Hotel is really well taken care of and is really nice. However the issue is with noise isolation on some floors as the hotel is next to rail tracks - the most the reception could offer not due to their fault were earplugs as they were fully booked out. :nThe reception staff were very lovely when I reached out on another try thanks so much to the gentleman who helped out that night! and found a different room in the end!
Just had a 1 night stay with my partner at the Midland Hotel. We have been here before for drinks and food, but this was our first time staying.nnWe did arrive early and our room was not ready, which is perfectly understandable. The receptionist took our luggage and we made full use of the bar, which was well stocked and had plenty of seating.nnUnfortunately we did end up having to wait a lot longer for our room an hour past our check in time. However, the reception team made us very comfortable and we ended up with two sets of free drinks and two free breakfasts, which was more than acceptable for the inconvenience.nnWhen we did get into the suite, we found it to be perfect, well maintained and beautifully presented.nnWe had room service food delivered, again it was delicious and good quality. £7 delivery charge for room service was a little steep though.nnThe spa was nice for the free hour, however I wouldn’t pay for any additional time as an hour was more than enough. I can’t comment on any treatments they offered as we didn’t have any.nnCheck out was a breeze as it was all done online.nnEvery member of staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. All a great credit to the hotel!nnOverall it was a lovely relaxing stay, yes there were some slight problems, but they were well dealt with and the free drinks/breakfast more than covered any inconvenience caused.
