The room was about what you would expect for the price. However, I noticed that the sheets on the upper bunk bed and the towel for drying feet had not been replaced, which was a little concerning. As others have mentioned, the smell in the hallway is quite distinctive, and people who are sensitive to smells might find it a bit unpleasant.nnThe most satisfying part of this hotel was the wonderful staff. Everyone was very kind, and I almost felt sad to leave the hotel. One female staff member with a cool hairstyle and hair color helped us with the kettle. Even though we only understand a little English, she patiently explained everything to us. It may seem like a small thing, but I was really impressed by her kindness. Being cool and kind at the same time is honestly the best. I will never forget it. Thank you so so much.
2/5nnI recently stayed at Ibis Budget Manchester in room 224 and unfortunately had a disappointing experience regarding privacy. During my stay, housekeeping entered the room without properly following privacy procedures. The “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed, yet the room was still accessed, which made me feel uncomfortable and concerned about security.nnWhat made this situation even more worrying was that we had approximately £3,000 worth of merchandise in the room for an event we were attending. Having valuable items stored there made it especially important that privacy regulations were strictly followed. Thankfully nothing was missing, but the situation caused unnecessary stress.nnI understand that hotels need to maintain rooms, but guest privacy should always be respected and handled according to clear regulations. This situation could have been avoided with better communication and adherence to policy.nnThe room itself was basic but acceptable for the price. However, the lack of respect for privacy significantly impacted my stay. I hope management addresses this issue to prevent it from happening to future guests.
This place was great, stayed this past weekend when attending a convention nearby. Had everything I needed and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and breakfast was nice. They make a lovely Pizza too! Thanks to everyone for a lovely time! Would have no problem staying here again
For a budget hotel, this was surprisingly nice. Rooms were bright, clean and comfy, with a desk and stool. The shower was powerful and hot, and contained a shower gel / shampoo dispenser. Toilet was a little compact, but clean. TV had lots of channels, and lighting in the room was adjustable, with controls beside the beds for more ambienced lighting.nnStaff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff were prompt and efficient, checking each morning if we had enough clean towels and supplies.nnFree teas / coffees and filtered water near reception was a bonus. Pool table and cafe was also a plus.nnIt was a perfect location for us with public transport right outside and across the road. Most of the attractions we visited were within walking distance anyway. There's a garage right next door serving 'Greggs' food and a McDonalds and pub directly across the road.nnThe only negative I have about the hotel is that it advertises the availability of 24 hour pizza. Yet, when we got back really late after a long day standing at a concert, we were told no food was available in spite of their advertisement. We were too exhausted to go back out, so ordered food for delivery instead, which turned out disastrous, with several unsuccessful visits to and from reception while hangry, but that's another story...nnOverall, we were very pleased with the place and would stay there again.
I stayed at ibis budget Manchester Salford Quays and overall had a good experience. The location is very convenient, especially with the tram nearby for easy access to Manchester city centre. Rooms are small and simple but clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, which made check-in smooth. It’s a great budget option if you just need a practical place to sleep without paying for extras. Would stay again for a quick trip.
