Absolutely beautiful food , and good size portions. The staff here where very attentive, warm and very friendly. Definitely would recommend
Went to the Hazel Pear today and was served my food. The waitress asked if there was anything else after delivering my food so i asked for some more chips as I didnt order a childs portion. After all i'd Paid £34.95 ! The chef / manager / owner then arrived and took my plate and asked me to leave the premesis so I did after a full Refund. Shocking Customer Service !
Lovely pub. Food is very good . Quiet each time we have been so I don't know if its being used as much as it should . Lively gem. Huge outside seating and patio area .
Enjoyed a fabulous family meal. Everything was freshly cooked and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Just had a delicious Sunday roast takeaway from The Hazel Pear. Very generous portions and individually packaged meals for each person. Arrived with r large portion of roast beef oast, oast and mashed potatoes. Selection of vegetables. Yorkshire pudding stuffing and gravy. Yum yum
Very nice cosy pub with excellent beer and good food
Visited this pub yesterday, what a shock ,the little room were you take dogs has been changed ,big tv on the wall and a dart board it was freezing no fire lit, looked like a social club, such a shame it used to be so inviting, needless to say we left.
Brilliant food and great prices
Never have I received such rude and neglectful service. We first arrived and our waitress was dismissive and hostile. We ordered our drinks and a tried to clarify something on the starter menu to which the waitress didn’t even know what we were talking about and made up an answer. The starter came and it was bland, undercooked and simply not what was described on the menu. No one had come back to check on us or see if we we were finished and our mains were bought out as our starters were cleared away. We both ordered a roast dinner and they also were very bland, poorly cooked and just generally unpleasant. The entire time from sitting down to finishing our meal, not once did anyone check to see if we wanted another drink or asked how the meal was, despite the bad quality. We waited ages for someone to clear our plates and had to go and find someone to ask for the bill. We were forgotten about the entire time. After paying, I had to get up and walk around to find our waitress, and quietly asked if the manager could go to our table. Surprisingly, she rudely stated it was her, refused to come to our table and just asked why. I tried to politely explain that both the service and food was poor to which she replied with ‘well actually you booked a table last minute and I should have even let you come’. I’d also like to add, that the pub was empty. Well now I understand why. She was completely careless that we had a bad experience and instead of understanding and apologising, she was shockingly rude and dismissive. My family and I shall never go back there and I recommend to anyone consider going here, save your money and time and go elsewhere. Appalling.
Lovely pub just down the road from where we were staying. Great food, pleasant staff.
