Cannot fault it. Food is excellent. The rarebit pie is possibly the best pie I have ever had. Setting is lovely, a warm cosy pub but with a modern look. Great range of local real ales. The only thing better than the food is the service. All the waiting staff I have had when I have gone there have been excellent. Very attentive and welcoming. Best pub around and the 5 star service which unfortunately is rare these days. Bag of dog treats is a really nice touch too.
This place is an outstanding find! Picked at random as a halfway point to meet family and what a treat. The food was amazing and the staff beyond lovely! Also has a very dog friendly pub which is a rare find but they have a dedicated area for your furry friends! I’d highly recommend a visit and will in due course be visiting again! Thank you so much for your wonderful food and service!
Really nice food. Kids food was good quality too my 5 year old twins cleared their plates which is high praise indeed. We had the pies Steak / Rarebit, they were delicious and very hearty.
The food in this place was absolutely incredible. I ordered the breaded brie and was served a slab of cheese so big I could have beaten a French man to death with it. It was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. I didn't think much of the cranberry jam that accompanied it but that's only because I don't like jam. For main we both ordered the beef shin. The meat was so tender and very well flavoured. The vegetables complimented the meal perfectly and were cooked with just the right amount of crunch. What really set this restaurant apart from others however was how wonderful the staff were. We were waited on by a young man - unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was very attentive and whilst highly professional, he was warm, friendly and welcoming. He also gave me the ring from the Monkey 47 gin bottle. The only thing to let down this dining experience was the table of people behind us coughing. That is no fault of the restaurant however, so I'll still happily give 5 stars. Will definitely return if we're up this way again.
First time at this pub with my sister for lunch. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely food and friendly attentive service. So glad we found this place and look forward to visiting again. Smoked salmon and coronation chicken sandwiches - delicious
Great experience at this lovely pub. We came on a quiet Tuesday early afternoon, on our way home from a few nights away.... loved the setting in the countryside, with welcoming and beautiful decor, amazing service from the lovely lady general manager and food to die for..Compliments to the chef - We went away very happy and very full, as portion sizes were quite large. Wished I had space for pudding....Next time!
Found this Pub restaurant accidentally after an accident had closed the M6 and was directed to a bypass. The Antrobus Arms is a family run pub not a chain and you can see this in the décor and the quality of their home cooked food !.
Went as a party of 16 including 6 children, we were looked after and served well by lovely, friendly staff. Good selection of beers and wines. All food was excellent, no complaints at all. The Sea Bream was the nicest fish I have ever personally had in any pub restaurant! Overall, the food was far better than I expected and I would definitely recommend this establishment. Excellent lunch, thank you to the ladies that served us and wishing you all a very happy Christmas.
Stunning next level food. My husband had the steak and ale pie and it was incredible - none of your dish of gravy wearing a puff pastry hat here - this is proper pastry, hand made and hand raised and packed with braising steak, the good stuff, tender and delicious. Myself and our son had fish and chips which was equally delicious - fresh and light, the batter was crisp and thin and delightful. Beautiful chunky chips too. Couldn't recommend it more highly and the staff were warm, welcoming and extremely good. Thank you. We shall be back many more times and we shall recommend it to everyone we know.
Called in yesterday Sunday for the very first time having driven past often on the way to & from Marbury park with the dogs. We had noticed the lovely flowers and grass outside, and thought we needed to call in one day soon. Upon walking in, we were very impressed with the bar and pub interior. Nice selection of drinks. Most importantly, lovely friendly staff, we were greeted by at least 3 staff during our visit, all 10 of out 10. We were enjoying out visit so much that we decided to stay for lunch, it was delicious! Excellent attention to detail. A step or two above most other pubs in the area, highly recommended. Perfect that it's dog friendly. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you
