A popular pub and garden restaurant for the family. Menu offers the standard variety for everyone taste pallets. Outside dinning looked very busy too with a child friendly play area.
Unfamiliar with the area, I was dubious about trying the Leigh Arms . Though I did as their menu really intrigued me. Happy to say the food was delicious, hot , beautifully presented and served. It was obvious that the food was fresh also. The Amaretto creme brulé was the perfect desert , lovely and light to top my experience off. The staff were amazing, polite , helpful , presentable , none robotic though profesional. Honestly such a great flow and vibe, I was extremely surprised ! I would highly recommend. I will definitely be back again !! Thank you.
Excellent food, generous portions, only criticism from one of my party was that it could have been hotter, however my meal was spot on, will visit again, steak and ale pie a winner Update ******** Visited again today, food as good as last time, pie excellent again, others in party had fish&chips and scampi, all served well and very tasty, puddings were great. Staff very friendly and helpful...can't fault it. Further update **************** All as before, food excellent, service great . Biscoff cheesecake delicious
We have been stopping at this pub/restaurant for many years when traveling along the nearby canal. The staff here are amazing - always friendly and welcoming whilst remaining professional. They handled the period after lockdown very well, we always felt safe. On our most recent visit, the manager kindly arranged for us to order food even though it was very close to Sunday kitchen early closing, and didn't make us feel a nuisance - thank you !
We made an impromptu stop and unfortunately there was a sign stating that unless we had a booking there was no room. With 3 very hungry girls we took a chance and went in anyway and the lady who greeted us did everything she could to help, it did end up being a table outside but it was very kind of her to go out of her way to help. The food was good and the playground kept the girls busy until dinner arrived. Great pub, well worth a visit.
Stopped for a spot of lunch after a bike ride. The time was around 3.30pm on a Saturday. I was quite surprised at how busy the pub was. Always a good sign for me. They had a good choice on the menu and I ordered the curry of the day chicken madras half and half It was spot on, really tasty and a good sized portion. I've often drove past this place and wondered what it was like, now I know and I'll definitely be going back.
Been twice now to this lovely pub/restaurant for special celebration meals with friends who live close by. All I can say is that it's excellent Food is delicious, very generous servings and the service is spot on, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Just wish we didn't live so far away but definitely worth the journey.
Have visited this establishment on two occasions now and the food, service and staff have been 1St class. I only like to eat freshly prepared food and they always have amazing menu s to choose from. The staff are so polite. Wonderful place. Wish I lived nearer.
We like to go there because sometimes all we want is lots of great pub food and happy staff to have a chitchat with. The Leigh Arms is convenient for people to go walking along the river and is dog friendly too in parts. Plenty of things going on at certain times; quiz nights, live music etc. Last time we went there was a steam/ traction engine society meet, so the carpark was quite full with these machines. If you're lucky you'll see the swing Bridge opening to allow boats to pass. Recommended.
