Called in for lunch today. I had the BLT Sandwich with chips and it was absolutely gorgeous. The other half had the vegetarian platter which was fantastic. Warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Cant wait to go again
Stopped in for a Sunday lunch. Nice welcoming atmosphere and great food. Service and staff efficient and friendly. Will definitely be going back.
It was the perfect cosy pub with lots of seating area. The food was freshly made and delicious …the portions were generous!!
Service was excellent, so welcoming and food was delicious, lovely mothers day treat!
Absolute gem of a pub off the main road down an apply named lane called Beauty Bank. Called in for a drink halfway through our walk off the Whitegate way. Sat in the beer garden with our little dog Jack. Very friendly staff at the bar. Inside was busy with Sunday eaters. Didn't try the food but from what I saw it looked tasty .
Sept. 2021. Omg this pub is a little gem. Put my head round the bar and asked if they were doing dinner. The lad behind the bar was so friendly and helpful. We had dinner chicken boursin and steak pie both very delicious. We had a motorhome and he allowed us to park right outside. Thank you fro a great end to our holiday. Menu is varied. Owrner Dave friendly I would highly reccomend.
Absolutely fantastic food, beautifully presented. I was so happy with my visit I’ve decided to book for Christmas dinner. Lovely warm welcoming staff and a very pleasant environment to dine. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Simply brilliant!
Nice atmosphere, great food, enjoyed my homemade beef and ale pie, husband had pork fillet in an apple and sage jus. All with fresh vegetables. Nice staff and reasonable prices, this was our third visit in a year, we don't live locally or we would be there regularly
Here today for festive lunch with a medium size party. Starter distinctly average. Main hand Carved baked ham awful. Hard and salty, dry. Roast potato like rock, boiled new potatoes gone fluffy! Brussels golf balls. Broccoli trees. Carrot baton fit for victorian police. Pudding average quality, and very small. Complained to the waitress and nobody came to see me. Been before and normal menu is pretty good. But this is diabolical. Be a long time before I go back. I think my meal had been standing under heat lamps for a long time. Very disappointed
Excellent service but food not great. Steak pie had plenty of beef but tasteless gluggy gravy. Vegetables were almost raw. Gravy in the gravy boat, was a thick lump. I felt the meal had been kept warm.
