The staff are beyond lovely. Got allocated a nice corner room. Was shown to the room by Rabin who proceeded to explain and show me the common pantry and the hidden pantry in my room. I was also informed on breakfast times and luggage storage. So thoughtful and what a nice personal touch. The rooms are wood panelled and feel very warm and inviting. The turn down service is also a very nice touch. Location is perfect as you roll out of the front door and into the check-in area of Eurostar across the road. Walkability: Easy walk to Coal Drops Yard and British Library.
Great historic hotel with character and charm in a superb location - just beware of some quirks. Pros: Location, charm, cleanliness, friendly staff Cons: The room itself...we were 'upgraded' to a room with no shower, just a tub that was quite uncomfortable and impractical not 'euro-style' with a splash guard either...just a tub. Water got everywhere! Also not ideal to have a large gap in a glass door to the bathroom. A bit of privacy is nice even when traveling with your partner :. More outlets would be nice too. The room was beautiful and clean, just not the smartest design for something that was clearly renovated.
Awesome hotel. We had a room on the top floor with a window that looked out over St Pancras. Other reviews I’ve read mention noise. There was noise here and there but overall not a problem during our visit, even being light sleepers. Hotel is also right next to King’s Cross. Easy walking to shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was wonderful, I had trouble finding a place to purchase stamps to mail post cards home but the hotel staff took the cards and said they’d take care of it. That meant so much to me! I’d definitely come back!
Exceptional location, incredibly clean, friendly staff. We will absolutely be visiting again. Being a Marriott bonvoy member, we had several options, especially on points. This property hands down has been the most impressive!Rooms: 5/5
So lovely. Well appointed is the best way to describe it. The room was very small, but lacking nothing. The service and little details definitely make it 5 stars. Location cannot be beat for St. Pancras, and I would stay there anyway, as it's centrally located. And we heard no noise from outside, so well insulated walls. Rooms: Very tiny, amazing beds and comforter. Bathroom was great.
The rooms are surprisingly nice. The hotel caters for pets. The room was a little small but not a squash. With a queen sized bed .. the mattress and pillows were super comfortable. No bath, only a walk in shower. Robes and slippers provided, a Nespresso machine and a pantry at the end of the corridor with a never ending supply of brownies and caramel wafers Rooms: The lift to the rooms can be immediately accessed as you enter the hotel. The same with the restaurant Walkability: Immediate access when you leave the hotel to Kings Cross train station. And just just cross the road and you are straight into St Pancras Food & drinks: The ribeye steak was delicious. It came with an only fries option. Vegetables had to be ordered separately. Overall it was a delicious meal. Breakfast was very good. Super healthy options to choose from, and great quality ingredients used throughout. The Staff were very helpful, kind and friendly
Absolutely stunning hotel. The staff was lovely and accommodating and after arriving via a late train from Paris, you could not beat the location! It might just be me, but I had some trouble finding the entrance to The Hotel very understated, so I’m including a photo of the front door here. If it’s not open and you need to get in, just ring the intercom.
Just to say I love this cafe and bar - excellent food and service. Far prefer to come here while waiting for a Eurostar train. Quiet and comfortable with spotless toilets easily accessible by lift to floor below. Walkability: Across from St. Pancras Station. Food & drinks: Very good, fairly traditional British dishes. I do not have photos of dishes I've eaten here. Excellent friendly service from an attractive team.
I had a wonderful one night stay here. My room was lovely. Well appointed, set up nicely and was cleaned well. The front desk staff were polite and attentive. The building is clearly full of charm and a long way from standard big box experience of many hotels. I arrived quite late at night and was grateful for the complimentary fruit and cakes on my floor. I was astounded at how quiet they managed to make the rooms given their busy location. I had a great nights sleep on superb linens. I’ll happily be staying there again soon. My one note was that the entrance was quite hard to find. The door I thought it was, was locked and not terribly well marked. It turns out that it was the front door, and the front desk staff generously came to fetch me after I called to check if my travel weariness had left me addled. Having some clearer signage would make it easier for late night arrivals like myself, particularly given that they keep that door locked at night.
Excellent location for trains, national and international. Well appointed rooms, the 'pantry' is a good addition. Very secure. Very well soundproofed bedrooms, comfy bed, pillows a bit soft. Excellent overnight stay.Rooms: 5/5
