The location of the hotel was brilliant, a couple of minutes walk from the tube station and really easy to find. The staff were helpful and friendly and check in was really easy. It was a bit of a maze to find our room but we found it okay with directions from the receptionist. Everything was clean and tidy and the beds were really comfortable, the only problem we had was the room smelt slightly damp. Breakfast was a basic continental but still nice enough. I would stay here again, it was quite good value for money
Very average hotel. Good thing is rooms are modern and up to date, bathrooms are clean and fairly modern, BUT in the morning there's often no hot water, completely unacceptable for 100/night. The window in my room had the handle ripped off and could not be opened. Noise insulation is bad, you can almost hear the other guy sneeze in the next room, and all noise from the hallway is easily heard. Breakfast is just bad, no hot options available outside of toast. You're better of getting a pastry from the supermarket honestly, as croissants are lumpy and hard, yoghurt is not even chilled. Staff is helpful and friendly.
The rooms look nice. And the bed is good. That's about all the positive. We had two rooms. Other one was really hot and stuffy. Other one did have AC, but it was very noisy. TV didn't work in the other room. We were told it's because of the building site across the street messes with the signal. Breakfast room is small and uncomfortably warm. Can't recommend.
Our room was beautiful, our shower / bathroom was fab. Really enjoyed our 5 night stay. Air con was easy to use. Breakfast was ample and all the staff friendly and polite. Will definitely stop againRooms: 4/5
If you want an affordable, place to stay in London, in a convenient location, close to public transportation, this fits the bill. Don't expect frills though. The room is tiny, beds not very comfortable, and water pressure non-existent although hot enough. The sheets and bathroom were clean, the staff friendly. Breakfast was acceptable, with toast, muffins, fruit, cold cuts, yogurt, juice and hot drinks.
I wish there was a 0 star I could give. Broken , dirty wall, paints coming off, dusty too. Carpet is probably 1000 years old and smelly. No air con in family room, requested to move to better room, they're unable to offer any. Room given to us is very hot and humid. Very tiny bathroom, even no bar fridge in room. Not worth for money. Reception staff was not very helpful. Staying in this hotel is good enough to ruin anyone's holiday.
Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. The choice for breakfast is small and average quality. Be warned, the hotel is on multiple levels connected by many steep, narrow, twisting staircases so if you have any mobility difficulties this could be a problem.
Awful - damp mouldy room Stayed for one night and complained to the staff about our room which had an over powering musty damp smell and signs of damp where there was no extractor for the bathroom. Complained at the time and asked to change room but fully booked. Offered a fan ?! By member of staff and had to ask for a control for air con... control broken and we had no choice to select temp. Complained next morning again to reception and told room was recently renovated clearly not with the rampant mould and damp. Now in a process of trying to recover our money from the hotel we had paid in advance as part of a travel package.... absolutely useless staff and hotel is awful. Do yourself a favour and spend a few more £££s on something decent. This place is the absolute pits and isnt even cheap!
The price wasn't high, but you get what you pay... everything was clean and nice. But the hotel is made for small people short bed and small hallways, ... but the atmosphere was very nice and personnel was very helpfully and nice. Breakfast was bit dull, but that's maybe because I'm used to excessive choice at home... the biggest minus was the single glazing which made streetnoise an issue.... but overall good hotel at a super location for low price if you are smaller than 1m95.
This place has location going for it but that's about it. To be fair, the area is full of small hotels converted from Victorian houses. Rooms are small, Furnishings are worn and tired, bathrooms need a good scrub, walls need painting and the whole breakfast experience is pretty sad - get there early or miss out. Aircon didn't work but thankfully we didn't need it. The bed was at least was comfortable and the sheets clean. I'm sure there are better places out there maybe just not as close to king's Cross.
