History:

Eventim Apollo opened in 1932 as the Gaumont Palace and became the Hammersmith Odeon in 1962. Designed in the Art Deco style its life began as a cinema but whilst named the Odeon it became a famous destination for live music, indluing artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Bob Marley.

Grade II* listed since the 1990s it became an adaptable space in 2006 in order to accommodate larger, standing crowds.

The 1932 fully restored Compton organ, used in its cinema days, is still found at the venue which has also become a favourite place for Live (and televised) Comedy events.

With a mixed standing seated capacity of over 3500 and 5000 for all standing it remains one of London’s legendary venues.

Great venue. We attended for an Alice Cooper gig. Lining up outside didn't take long. Nice easy entry. The staff are helpful enough if you need directions around the building. There is plenty of WCs, I didn't have to wait in line at all! The bar area was well staffed, so getting a drink wasn't a problem either. Beautiful venue everywhere you go really. The show was fantastic. I will be coming back for future events.
Long established venue. Worth getting to early if you've a ticket in the stalls to get near the front. If you're in the circle, some of the rear rows of seats aren't staggered as much as they could be, so if you've someone tall in front of you, there might be a few "dead spots" of the stage you can't see without leaning to the side. Sound system is up to par for a venue this size & was clear throughout the gig I was at. Beer prices okay for London.
Good seat on end in the stalls. Good toilet access. And minimal queues at the bar. One of the best venue experiences I've had. And Alice Cooper was most excellent.
We were there to see Alice Cooper. Never having been there before, we were amazed at how organised the event was. We queued outside. When the doors opened , we went in. The stall selling the merchandise was well organised. There weren't long queues anywhere, not even the loos. The interior decor was Beautiful, especially the ceiling. The Apollo has definitely been looked after . The staff, bar staff, and those selling the merchandise were all friendly and efficient. If another band we are into is scheduled to appear there , we will definitely return.
First time visiting the venue, we went to see Staying Relevant on the last night. Really easy to get in, no queues, although we did arrive 15 mins before the show started so the queues had gone. Plenty of toilets which was clean, queues very small for the bar and merchandise stands. Overall a great venue and had a lovely evening.
Excellent venue. Easy to find and maneuver and the staff were friendly as well. Went to see Alice Cooper, first time in London. The venue is right near the tube.
My first time to see show in London, bought tickets months ago and thirsty waiting for the night. It is really a great place and so crowded. Venue with great sound system and comfortable seats and standing areas. Crazy night, with a fantastic bar offering different kinds of drinks. Wonderful night ever.
A fantastic venue of perfect size. Seats are comfy and have a good view from anywhere. Staff are incredible and so welcoming to those with access needs, plus quick at responding to their access emails! Couldn’t rate the venue higher from a seated patron and as an ease of access to get to. 5 min walk from hammersmith tube station
Visited Eventim for Twilight in Concert! Was absolutely fantastic, partner adores the films so was an easy win! Chairs are a tad small but comfy non the less. Sound and vibes within are unreal, they know how to set the stage.
I, along with friends and family have seen Alice Cooper MANY times at at MANY venues since about 1976. Don't get me wrong Alice and the band were brilliant as usual but I may as well have listened to them on the radio. Why pay for seats when EVERYONE stood up from the minute the band came on stage! I don't mind standing for the last few songs but not that long. I had an aisle seat so I could get in and out of my seat with ease but the aisles were overcrowded too which I thought was a bit dangerous. Disabled people with walking sticks struggled to get through. I saw Alice last year with Hollywood Vampires, people stood there too but you could at least comfortably see over the top of people.
