Story

Chelsea Theatre is a contemporary performance space and community hub which combines artistic excellence and community participation.

As a performance space, we are dedicated to commissioning, producing and presenting the freshest and most innovative artists, both nationally and internationally. We’re proud to have hosted some of the biggest names in contemporary performance from artists including Ron Athey, Franko B, Bobby Baker, Gob Squad, Lone Twin, Goat Island and Annie Sprinkle.

Chelsea Theatre is fully accessible and carers go free to any performance at Chelsea Theatre. Additionally we have a variety of concessional rates for World’s End Estate residents.

My friends and I love the place. Awesome venue with wonderful staff – check out their exhibitions, displays and courses – plus interesting events for the community. Do visit their excellent cafeteria - an oasis in this busy part of the City.
We visited the Chelsea Theatre yesterday for our Ghazal event. The place is very clean and the staff was very friendly as well. While the coffee machine was broken but the staff was happy to serve us instant coffee and tea which was also very refershing. We had a good time and the event as well. Will visit often.

Watched an array of great talent at the theatre, from ballet to comedy. Cheap and cheerful. Great day out.
Wonderful community centre. Great facilities, friendly staff and a wide range of free and subsidised family activities to support local community. Check out whats on or visit site cafe to enjoy great good and free Wi-Fi.
Lovely little theatre with a great bar with a balcony. The staff were amazing and helpful as well.
