Wasn’t sure what to expect but as you can see it was brilliant . So much talent in one small venue . Funny, witty, clever comedy plus they can all sing. Wont go into detail as shows change but please go it politics , poking fun at celebrities & royals is your thing or you just like to laugh . Oh and couple it with a meal & a drink in the pub downstairs perfect evening
Interesting. A nice comfortable pub downstairs and an enjoyable small theater upstairs. Subject matter is unique, with the young cast giving their best to offer us a satirical view of today's world. Whether in the pub or the theater you feel comfortable and welcome. A good night out to be enjoyed with friends. A short walk from Paddington station. Will be back for more
Outstanding theatre and local proper pub. Get off the beat and enjoy some local theater. Support the arts. A fantastic pub staff and the stage actors were fantastic. A must visit in this historic venue.
I liked this place when I last visited a few years ago, with a pub downstairs and a small stand up comedy theatre upstairs with caustic reviews of current events. Sadly it is no longer open on Sunday nights.
Fabulous place! Friendly bar staff, and great shows upstairs in the theatre. Such fun and I love it
Fantastic cosy theatre venue, tables for c.30?people, very intimate. Preview of The News Review for Edinburgh 2023 was five star, absolutely ripping satire, well done and good luck at the festival!
A good old above-a-pub London fringe theatre. Cabaret seating, with the world's longest-running theatre comedy show resident and plenty of visiting companies. Plus you get a discount on drinks downstairs after the show.
Staff were so friendly! Gorgeous building, great location, drinks were a little pricey but made up for by the service. Very tasty food. Only issue was the state of the bathrooms in the evening, no loo roll and toilets not flushing. Staff dealt with it immediately when mentioned though. Would go back just for the service
How lucky we were to stumble upon the Canal Cafe Theatre, it happened to be around the corner from the Airbnb we were staying at. The NewsRevue comedy show was smart, fresh and entertaining. Super talented cast and a great view of the stage even from the back row where we sat. Loved how relevant and current all the bits were - hilarious political and social commentary.
Saw this lovely pub! Couldnt go in because it was full and we had to find another place but it looked very good outside and lovely atmosphere.
