Really poor experience buying a used car from this dealership. The car was delivered dirty and hadn't been prepped properly. I brought this up and we agreed £100 as compensation. I have been chasing for weeks and no action taken. I have added photos which show the cleanliness of the vehicle when it was delivered to me.nnI also made the mistake of buying the £99 customer pack which is meant to give you free health checks at an EH dealership, valets, discounts on accessories etc. I never received info on how to use this... basically I was sold nothing. I have requested a refund but again, heard nothing so have now had to issue a complaint.nnThe company is meant to do a thorough check of the vehicle as part of the prep for sale. With mine they managed to miss a steering wheel misalignment which is due to a new steering rack done as part of a recall. My local land rover specialist will be able to deal with this but I would not trust the quality of the inspections they give to the vehicles, they want the money in the bank and then lose interest.nnThe final thing that concerned me is when you go through the purchase process, as a long distance buyer, you have a Teams call which is recorded, I believe because the services they want to sell you are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The salesman talked me through all the products and I said I was not interested and that was fine. As soon as we were off the recorded call my phone range and the hard sell began.nnMy advice to anyone would be avoid their products like the warranty. I was able to get a 3 year warranty with more extensive cover from ALA for the price of a 2 year warranty bought through Evans Halshaw. They are not good value for moneynnOverall a poor experience, especially when this is such a big purchase. I would expect better quality control from such a big brand. I will update my review when the complaint is resolved.
I recently bought a lovely car from Evans Halshaw in Leeds. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Tobias and his colleagues at the dealership. They were welcoming, warm, and friendly without being pushy. They made the car-buying experience enjoyable, ensuring everything went as I wanted and helping me get a great deal.nnAll the staff in every department were dedicated to making me feel happy and comfortable.nnA big thanks to everyone at Evans Halshaw Leeds! Quality servicenPurchased a used car and the whole process was flawlessnAvaies was very helpful and we were able to sort most of the financing via Google meet at home, so all we had to do was come in, test drive and then sign the final parts of the agreement
I was originally going to buy from big motoring world, I found a hyundai ioniq which I knew I wanted that make and model. There were too many staff and so many people coming to sort me out. I ended up not getting one from there and came to Evan Halshaw instead where I was dealt with by Kwami, he was friendly and not pushy and I only dealt with him and no one else. The whole process was easy and I was treated well. I traded in my Citroën, got a good deal and left with my Hyundai Ioniq all in half a day. If I could just mention that the atmosphere in evan halshaw - hyundai leeds was great, lots of windows letting alot of light in and especially enjoyed the music choice and the comfy waiting area. Car is an absolute mess, I purchased a car that had been registered a little over a month ago and when I picked it up after a 5 hour round trip, the sat nav was not functional, stone chips and scratches swirls all over the car. It’s an absolute state but they don’t seem in any hurry to sort it even after emails they just fob me off to a manager that’s apparently never in or available. Livid.
