Very welcoming and comfortable place to stay just outside of the city but with good transport links. Landlady was great, very cheerful and helpful. Would definitely come back.

We had a fabulous stay at this gorgeous lodge which is just a short taxi or bus ride away from the city center. The rooms were super clean and modern. Lana, the hotel owner, made us feel right at home and even joined us for a few drinks in the common room. She along with her staff, make a killer full Scottish breakfast and they also cater to vegetarians which is nice. Such a lovely place! We can't wait to return.

Very nice place, everything looks new. Great bed and comfortable room. Lana is very kind and we felt really welcome. Good parking possibility. Good working Wi-Fi.

Gorgeous Manor House, well maintained, tastefully decorated and well cared for. We had the twin room at back of house on ground floor. It was very quiet, spacious, clean and warm. Furnishings and bed linen of very high quality. Small car park but plenty of room to park at side of house. Park the car, hop on a bus just outside and for a £4 day ticket you get to ride all day long, great value! Lovely cooked breakfast in the front dining room. Lots of tables, so no sharing your breakfast with strangers! I don’t care for having to socialise whilst eating my breakfast, sorry! The set up here is perfect. The host Lana is a diamond! A really nice lady who looked after us like we were family, my husband had been in hospital prior to our visit and Lana was very concerned about him during our visit, which was so kind. Book with Duthus Lodge direct as other well known “booking sites” take a chunk of what you pay, so Duthus Lodge don’t receive anywhere near the full room value. The rooms are very good value but make sure Duthus Lodge gets the full room value by booking direct! Looking forward to going back to Duthus Lodge soon, this will be our first choice now when visiting Edinburgh! Thanks Lana !

The duthus lodge was very nice. A little cold in the room at first, the house is way over 100 years old, but with the additional heater soon comfortable. Lana is very friendly and the breakfast good. Edinburgh is accessible by foot (15-20 min walk) or by bus. The bus station (also airlink buses) are pretty much in front of the house. Despite that, it's quiet. Last but not least, the beds are probably the best beds I have ever had on a trip.
