I’ve just seen a 1 star review from a fake account Amy complaining about the rude service she received, I find it hard to believe as when I go to the store I have always received the friendly and kindest response from the customer assistants especially from Luis. A spot of lunch with the family. Pausa café is popular for shoppers and visitors alike. Fast service and food to table. Kids eat free with certain conditions . Staff were friendly and helpful - even those who had just gone on their break when I asked for help. Parking in front, side and rear of building.
I had exceptional help today from Lisa concerning a really minor purchase purely getting a correct light bulb. She was so knowledgeable and really put herself out to identify what I required. All Dunelm staff are great but I just wanted to acknowledge how particularly great she was!
Very disappointing experience at the Hemel Hempstead store when collecting an order.nI was humiliated and embarrassed by a staff member named Amanda, whose behaviour was completely unprofessional and chaotic. She was rude, argumentative, condescending, raised her voice, and did not listen. Despite an IT issue, other staff were manually helping customers collect their orders, but Amanda refused and instead spoke about me to other customers, implying I was being difficult.nI was left waiting over 30 minutes with my baby in a buggy, which was distressing. Amanda continued to either argue, disappear or want to serve other customers who were already being served. The issue was only resolved after speaking to a manager.nNo apology was offered, and Amanda continued discussing me with colleagues, making the situation even more uncomfortable. This experience ruined my day. I expect far better customer service and professionalism.
Luis on click and collect is very rude. The click and collect point is poorly located and instead of Luis being polite about it, he was just plain rude. His attitude is very poor and he could do with some training in manners and good customer service. Wouldn't expect such terrible service from a big store like Dunelm. Do better.
