Super small and overcrowded slope but "the only option in UK " Extortionate prices reflect people desperation to try skiing. Still good start for kids up to 7yrs. Nice viewing area inside big fridge or behind glass panels. Food will do
A really lovely oasis this side of the channel! Lovely snow slopes, fit enough for everyone at any level from no experience to professionals! A great place to hire the equipment and amazing experience. Loved the lodge cafeteria which is an excellent place to sit and enjoy a coffee of a meal as you level up the experience! Amazing shop for all you need for an amazing experience here or the Alps! Fantastic place!!
I'm sure everything here is extremely high quality and as a result needs to be those prices. But its so overpriced, 100 quid for a pair gloves. I'm sure they're nice but they'd better be for that price. The staff were super friendly, and store itself is easy to navigate but it is far too expensive
I was very well looked after by Shaun and Chris. Their attention to detail and making sure I purchased the right boot for my feet and ability was superb. I cannot rate them highly enough. My boots were comfortable from the time I put them on in the boot room on holiday, to the time I took them off later in the day. They never needed tightening/loosening throughout the day, they were so comfortable and the new gripwalk were brilliant!! Thank you Shaun and Chris great service.
Great shop with excellent customer service! The staff are very knowledgeable and the shop is very well stocked with good brands from Hiking gear, winter clothing, cycling and snowboarding. They also price match on their products.
Booked an appointment for ski boot fitting and they ran out of time to properly fit the boots. Waste of a journey and not good customer service, told to come back another day and that was the only solution. Perhaps if they weren’t fitting more than one person at once then there would have been time! Luckily I found a highly recommended, professional ski boot shop in the alps and they laughed when I told them about my experience in the UK. They knew that everyone who visited Snow & Rock is sold the custom insoles Sidas and they really aren’t needed for everyone. Everyone I saw at the Hemel store was getting the custom insoles so this is clearly a profit making scheme. Do your research and find professionals to fit your ski boots.
Unpleasant and rude staff. Waited 30 mins before anyone came to me. Tried on ski boots for couple of hours, as I wanted to make sure that I had the right fit and left without ski boots to buy it online as I couldn’t find the right one - then I was told that I had to pay £50 for simply trying them on! Their website says it’s FREE. What a scam, avoid this company!! I was told later that they felt the need to charge me because I was ‘taking too long’, despite only taking the allocated time, and their ski boot fitter doing other tasks at the same time.
We did level 1 for adults , three hour lesson. Really good experience. The instructor Neil took us from absolute beginner to being able to do a snow plough and go up the lift a little
Exceptionally facilities for skiing, snowboarding and Ringo slide. Nursery and main slope. Two button lifts for the main slope and two conveyor lifts for the nursery slope. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent instructors who we have used for a private adult lesson, group teenager lesson and as extra assistance for a teenager who was using a ski pass and needed a bit of coaching to feel confident again. Lovely lodge café serving food, drinks and alcohol. Great view of the slopes from here so we could watch the teenager having their lesson. Great offer on monthly lift passes during the summer.
Fitter was very helpful, took 2 hours but time well spent, hoping it will stop raining in the ski resorts so we can go out and try them. Jan 2023
