Buying from Halfords is a complete cycle of frustration. You lose when you ask staff for help, you lose when you buy something that needs assembling by the employees, and you lose even more when you have to deal with what must be one of the most clueless customer service teams I’ve ever experienced.nnThe manager at the Hemel Hempstead branch is, without doubt, one of the most disingenuous people I’ve dealt with recently.nnI was given a refund for a bike in the form of a gift card, which was already ridiculous enough — but then the gift card didn’t even have the funds available on it. Honestly, this has to be one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had this year.nnAfter multiple frustrating attempts trying to use this “blessed” gift card, the branch manager finally opened a customer service case for me. After waiting five long days, I eventually managed to speak to someone, only to be told they needed to open yet another complaint case. Now it has been over five days with three separate complaint cases open, and still no refund, no working gift card, and no actual solution.nnMy plans to go e-biking with my daughter over the bank holiday completely fell apart because of this mess. Absolutely frustrating.nnOne final observation: after spending nearly total £3,000 on a bicycle, you would expect at least a decent level of customer service. Apparently not.nnI genuinely do not recommend this store, and I honestly hope Hemel Hempstead gets a better alternative one day.

A round trip of forty miles was well worth it.nA young lady called Dionne was so kind, helpful & patient with me. Not only did I get what I wanted but thanks to Dionne signing me up for the motorist discount I got £5 knocked off the price. Couldn't have been happier thanks Dionne

I was really pleased with the service I received at Halfords this morning, particularly thanks to Dianne’s efficiency and friendly approach. She took the time to explain the membership club to me and helped me choose the best products for my car, which I really appreciated.nnI’d also like to mention Jamie, who carried out the work on my car and completed everything to an excellent standard.nnOverall, it was a genuinely positive experience, and I’m very happy to be a new regular customer.

Extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received at this branch, particularly from the manager Mike/Mark. I returned to the store regarding an issue with a car battery I had previously purchased and asked for it to be tested.nnWhile the battery was checked, the manager’s manner was confrontational and he raised his voice when informing me that the battery would not be replaced under warranty. At no stage did I argue or challenge the decision. I accepted it and proceeded to purchase another battery instead.nnDespite this, I was spoken to in a loud and aggressive manner, which was entirely unnecessary and unprofessional. This is not the standard of customer care I would expect from a national retailer.nnI believe this matter warrants review by senior management, as the conduct displayed reflects poorly on the store and undermines customer trust.

I had a fantastic experience with Rory in cycling. I was concerned a free check would lead to a big bill but Rory was reassured what did and didn't need doing. I felt I got good value and service. Super importantly I feel my son is safe riding his bike. Thank you!
