Extremely nice hotel! Everything from the drive from the entrance to the rooms is all very extravagant! Rooms are very spacious and the beds are very big and comfortable, one of the best night's sleep I've had at a hotel. We had a luxury king room and it definitely deserves the name, the bathroom was very clean and modern. Would recommend a stay at any opportunity and will definitely go back again!

Overnight spa stay Fantastic hotel and grounds that are well tended. It was great value for money and we enjoy a very nice meal at Vines. Our 60 minute treatment was brilliant. The only negatives we had were small but did detract from our stay. The spa area/pool was very very noisy with a large amount of children which we weren't expecting. Although there were two lifeguards, for the few hours we were by the pool, they were not at the poolside even with children playing without parents being there. The only time a lifeguard was seen was when they walked to the plantroom every so often. Finally, it was slightly disappointing to not have more areas so sit/lay by the pool. Although with limited space this is understandable.

Stayed at Carden Park last night for my early 40th Birthday celebrations and its a dream!! Staff are all wonderful and friendly food was 5 star and room so comfortable and warm. Looking forward to our scrumptious breakfast and day in the spa, and a cream tea later I really hope to visit Carden Park again and again. Definitely in the summer when I can walk around the scenic grounds too

I'm showing you our email to Carden Park after our eventful stay. Scroll down to the bottom for there reply. You decide if you want to stay here. Whilst we enjoyed most of our time at the hotel there are some real issues i would would like to raise with you. I would like to give you the opportunity to address these concerns before I consider any other action. 1. The room itself was sold to me as a upgraded larger room with a view.I was disappointed with the size of it and the mattress was very hard. 2.We had three different members of staff bang and open our door between 9am and 11am on the day of checkout. The first one from house keeping at 8:50am which gave my partner a real fright and woke us up. A second knock/bang on our door after we had returned from breakfast around 10:00 again from house keeping. Then the third one was off the gentlemen with grey hair and goty beard that had earlier been very pleasant and directed us to breakfast. He Knocked just after 11am very loudly and asked us if we had a late checkout. We told him we were just about to leave the room. Inbetween all the above knocking on our door spoiling our expensive relaxing weekend was the loud bang on our window from the window cleaners brush. I must say I have stayed in many hotels at the fraction of the price of yours and never experienced these issues before. We were made to feel rushed and you just wanted us out as quick as possible on our last day. 3. We also felt the afternoon tea was very poor for price. We did address the intrusions with your duty manager before vacating. She gave us a free coffee each and said she would raise the issues with house keeping. My concern that is the gentleman that knocked and really upset us was from the front of house and not house keeping. I would like to say that the only positive experience with your staff was from Anthony the doorman. He was very pleasant, helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. I was so surprised when he told me he had only been in his position for a few weeks. Reply Many thanks for your kind response and whilst I can understand your disappointment I do feel that 08.50am isn’t unreasonable a time to check if a room has been vacated although it is regrettable if it was that you were still asleep at the time and there was no do not disturb sign on your room door handle. The vast majority of guests by that time as I’m aware were awake and enjoying their breakfast. I believe if we were to detach check out time from the time a guest sleeps in until then I’m sure you can see that our team would see it as reasonable to attempt to find out if a room is vacant during mid morning albeit for some this still may be early in the morning but as mentioned we wouldn’t have had any knowledge of. I do hope you do not judge us too harshly on this occasion as it is always our aim to give the highest level of service and ensure that all our guests enjoy their time with us. I have spoken to our General Manager regarding your stay and he has asked me to pass on his sincere apologies but we will not be able to offer any compensation regarding this matter. Once again thank you for your comments. Yours sincerely Donna Roberts | Front of House Manager Carden Park Hotel
