Stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. Friendly staff greeted us as we arrived. Room was perfectly sized for a short stay and had all of the amenities that you would need. The hotel had complimentary hot drinks this included take away hot chocolate, mochas and cappuccinos which is a really nice touch, not to mention the brilliant breakfasts which run from 6:30-9:45am that set us up for the day. Parking was free when staying at the hotel and within walking distance of the center of Chester, it was easy to find and is manned by security. Staff were really helpful and have between them made a brilliant place to stay for a couple of days while you explore Chester. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area and looking for somewhere to stay!
Had a nice room on 3rd floor. Sofa bed had a few stains on, mentioned to reception but said we were only their 2 nights and wouldn't be using it but maybe sort for next customers. Breakfast was good, hot and cold food. Coffee's on a machine, you could have free throught the day and night. Drank in the bar one night, good atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive and doing a great job. Onsite free parking was a bonus. It could probably get busy and lively on race days as its next door.
Nice hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included, which was good with plenty there .The hotel is in a great location for the town .. Which was just five minutes walk away... Parking on site, which was a really great ... Also, we were able to leave the car there on checkout day and walk up to town, which was very helpful.. All in all, it's a good place to stay ...
Overall a fantastic experience at the Holiday Inn Express. The best thing about the hotel is the location with close access to tourist attractions such as; Chester's retail park, Lake, Old Town, museum, cafes, and shops. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and allowed us to check-in a bit early as we came directly from the flight. The rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was nice, tasted good, and was fresh with a variety of options. Since we prefer halal only they delighted us with vegan sausages, the rest of the menu included scrambled eggs, beans, Oats, cereals, muffins, croissants, and a variety of unlimited coffee. The hotel has a free parking lot as well.  The only turning point was that the room was not spacious though enough for two guests if they stayed in their beds ;
Really great place, excellent access to centre, free parking, rooms were a really good standard, breakfast was decent for the price and staff were welcoming and friendly.nnWould definitely recommend if you need somewhere to stay in Chester.
