Mixed experience – Great location, but the rooms need an upgradennI stayed in room 323 and have mixed feelings about my stay.nnThe Good:nLocation & Staff: The hotel is in an excellent location, and everything in Chester is within easy walking distance. Also, the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.nnSleep Quality: The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, and I slept great.nnBreakfast: The breakfast was very delicious, though it could offer a bit more variety.nnThe Room & Bathroom Room 323:nUnfortunately, the room itself did not live up to expectations. The interior feels outdated and is partly worn down or broken. When I arrived, there were still two empty beer cans left in the room, and the minibar only contained three bottles of water. Furthermore, the window was screwed shut and couldn't be opened at all, meaning there was no way to get any fresh air into the room.nnThe bathroom had a few issues as well. The water pressure in the shower was way too low. There was no toilet brush provided why is that?, and the only outlet in the bathroom is for shavers, meaning you unfortunately cannot plug in a hairdryer there.nnAn extra note:nIt would be nice to have some seating options at the designated smoking area on the parking deck.nnConclusion:nOverall, I don't think the hotel justifies a 4-star standard in its current state, and it is simply too expensive for what it offers.
I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Chester and had a very good overall experience. The hotel was clean, well maintained in the main areas, and offered a professional and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay.nThe staff were courteous, helpful, and attentive, ensuring I felt well looked after from arrival to departure. Service standards were consistently high and contributed positively to the overall experience.nMy room was spacious and comfortable, although the rooms are starting to look a little tired in places and could benefit from refurbishment. That said, it was clean, quiet, and fully functional, which made for a pleasant stay.nOverall, I would recommend the hotel for its service, cleanliness, and convenient location, and I would be happy to stay again in the future.
This hotel is dated, and tired. It is an extremely well 'used' hotel and it shows, it isn't as good as some Premier Inn's in that regard.nnThe air conditioning in room was noisy, as if it hadn't been serviced in years, the shower head was broken, and wouldn't stay upright - we also had a period, during heavy rain outside if an awful smell coming through the sink and plug hole.nnSo as long as you know what to expect, and what you'll get, it is 'ok'. At £165 per night, including club lounge access, and breakfast it simply isn't worth it.nnI expect that if corporate customers weren't propping up the occupation figures, it would struggle without making some effort.nnThat all said - the service and staff were excellent. Friendly and Helpful, and were able to correct a mistake made by central reseverations without any trouble almost as if they were used to it.nnBreakfast was good, and the hotels location is excellent. The car park across the road is better to use, and easier to access than the small offering the hotel has, so, worth avoiding the hotels car park completley.nnWe will probably stay again, but, only if a deal rate is available. My honest opinion, £65 to £85 per night is about the correct rate to feel like you've had a good deal.
We spent 5 nights here this month and were so pleased with our stay. We had a concierge level room, and the added perks were much appreciated. The location was perfect. I want to give special recognition to Louis, who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful for our 2 boys. He is hands down the hardest working hotel employee I have ever seen. Thank you to all of the staff for a fantastic stay!
We recently stayed for 4 nights. On arrival, there was an issue with an unpleasant smell in our room. This did not resolve on airing the room so was fed back to reception.nThe receptionist could not have been more helpful. After speaking to a manager, we were moved to a suite, being told that there were no other premium rooms available that night. We were told that we would be moved again the next day due to other bookings.nThe following day, we returned to reception and spoke to manager, Robyn. She was most apologetic and offered a bottle of wine and added club lounge access to our booking.nOn going to our new room, we found that we had been upgraded to a suite for the rest of our stay. This was much appreciated.nThe staff in all area's of the hotel were amazing and cannot be faulted.nThe hotel is in a fabulous, central location and has everything needed for a city break.nThe hotel rooms, however, are dated and in need of refurbishment. The housekeeping team could be more thorough with cleaning i.e, a dirty glass in room and biscuit crumbs on the sofa bed.nWe would like to thank Robyn and the reception staff, in particular, for looking after us so well.
