Bought my first car from Balkwell just under 2 weeks ago. The staff were very informative and patient. More than happy with all the functions on the car and confident that staff willl help should any problems occur further down the line.

Disgraceful firm to deal with. I recently purchased a vehicle costing over £9,000 and was led to believe it had a spare key. Transpires that it didn't and Vauxhall dealer wants £260 to cut one. Immediately Contacted this dealer and they didn't want to know. Came up with all sorts of rubbish and were rude and arrogant when I Spoke to them. They claim on their website that 'There are no hidden administration fees or unexpected extras...' which is absolute rubbish, as I'm now finding out. Wish to God I'd read other bad reviews before handing over my hard earned money to his bunch. Will be taking this matter further via legal channels. I note the owner has since posted a very nice, polite reply to my review. However, read the following extracts from an e-mail I was sent from him soon after putting my review online and draw your own conclusions..... “... based upon the attempts to bully your way into a response this evening, I am now taking the decision to revoke our offer to supply you a spare key at 50% of the cost. I am sorry that the matter has had to come to such a conclusion but despite our attempts to remedy the situation, even though we were under no legal obligation, your actions have drawn a line under the matter. In regards to your slanderous online review, we will be placing this matter into the hands of our own legal representatives. You can await contact from them in regards to what action they intend to take”

Great family run business very helpful and friendly from the minute you enter great service from start to finish and they really do take care of there customers even after you've bought the car would highly recommend

It has been just over a year since I bought my car from Balkwell after trading in my old one. I explained what I was looking for and they offered some good, practical advice and then let me know when a car that suited me was available to see and test drive! Sorting the paperwork was easy and the car was ready to collect not long after. There was one small glitch with the stereo but this was fixed promptly within a matter of days and it has run well ever since. I recently brought it back for MOT and service earlier this week, no issues found, and customer service spot on as usual. Friendly, family run business which I have and will continue to recommend to others!
