Avoid at all cost! Sold me a dodgy car, engine management light kept coming on, had to keep going back and forth for them to "fix" it as the car came with 3 months warranty but didn't seem to be getting anywhere so I took it to another garage for them to do a health check and they identified a number of problems saying it may cost up to £1000 to fix! After months of stress, I demanded a refund which I did receive

Avoid this place like the plague. Absolute cowboys. Went to have two tyres fitted by appointment and after an hour of having the car and having both wheels off was told they couldn’t do it. Two tyres!! A 30 minute job max. So then they threw the tyres in my back seat with zero protection for my seats. So now my seats are filthy.
Drop the car in for a MOT lads what spot on car did not pass need work done give my price happy with price and work done car back on the road thank u lad
All agreed to buy a wee mini and agreed a price, they just had to run it through a fresh MOT. When they did they found a very minor oil leak and decided to fix it, which meant dropping the gearbox and all sorts of headaches. Anyway, they could have just flogged it to me but they took the time and expense to do it right. A very rare honest second hand car garage! Would highly recommend.
Unfortunately brought a car from this garage and paid cash. After four weeks and only 200 miles down the line the timing belt broke and the engine was knackered. Went back to the garage only to be told I had actually brought it off a private individual It was brought off the forecourt with there price tag on it with me paying cash into an account I apparently had no come back to the garage which actually went into liquidation again, quick change of name and reopened as tyneside autos or something anyway I actually spent £1000 of money I had saved and got another £1000 loan off the bank I will be paying the repayments untill the middle of next year. The reason why I brought the car because my car was becoming unreliable and I needed something more reliable as my wife was going through a course of intense radio therapy which means 28 days of therapy. After the course was finished my wife had a stroke and was in intensive care for a couple of weeks and was lucky enough to pull through. Anyway the time she was in hospital I had no transport due the fact the car I brought from this garage was a wreck. I ended up relying on a friend to take me up to see her. I was allowed to see her because of the state she was in and even though it was in the middle of a pandemic the staff at the RVI were great and gave me support I needed. I had started proceedings through the small claims court to get my money back but they obviously they new how to get round the ins and outs of thingsobviously done it before taking a very long time I decided to sell it for scrap and received £285 and put this awful experience behind me. The thing is I was born on Coach rd just under the bridge and about 400 metres from the garage. I always like to buy local to help businesses in the area, totally disappointed and let down. I hope the people involved in the sale of this car read this and hang there heads in shame.

Upon reflection as a client we would not use any other hire company, Ashton Garage are locally based delivering a national service maintaining the the personal touch.
