Cheap hire and canny van, only issue was replacing the diesel used, we got the van between 3/4 and full tank and had to take it back accordingly, so checked average MPG, the van had done 89 miles quickly worked out £30 diesel so put £30 diesel in, gauge didn't move!! Thought I'll drive it back it will move up slowly it didn't! So we were told to go put more in despite telling them £30 hadn't moved the gauge! So back along to garage,put another £10 in now I knew I had replaced far more than used even according to the bloke at the hire site 24 miles per £10 which was incorrect as i had reset MPG counter it displayed 29 MPG £8.40 per gallon easily covered by £30 gauge didn't move! So put another £5 in gauge didn't move!! Put yet another £5 in and bang full tank of fuel!!! Yes I took the keys out whilst filling then put them back in turned the ignition on after each amount added so went back and said hey this gauge must stick! I've paid £50 diesel for 89 miles! I believe £20 over! Bloke had no interest in listening couldn't do anything! Told to come back when owner was in!! Not worth trailing all the way back over £20! Funnily enough he had also sent another bloke back to the garage at the same time as me! So clearly an issue on the vans! I would maybe use again but be a lot more careful refuelling, or send the van out full bring it back full like every other hirer I have used! And maybe a bit more customer care!!

Needed a crew cab at somewhat short notice and JCS were absolutely spot on. Everything was sorted from start to finish and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a hire vehicle in the area

I have rented vans from this company for quite a few years now and never had a problem. They always point out any little dents of scratches and mark them on a van map and always make sure of van having a spare wheel. i could not fault them one bit in all the years i have rented from them.I give JCS 5 stars and 100% for a good service.

Hired from JCS many a time and they are always spot on. I was unfortunate this time to have my car broken into. They let me keep the van whilst my car was being fixed, and even cleaned my car and cleared away the glass. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a good hire vehicle at a low price *****

Fair prices and top customer service. Didn't have to stay open late to enable me to return the van but they did. Great service.

Hired a van over Christmas, van was fine. The van was parked on a drive the whole time, however when returning, the man went straight to the back and found the spare wheel was missing strange ? Make sure they show you where the spare wheel is before you hire the Vans, as it difficult to see.make sure there is one there before taking The company charged me.

Do not use this Company!! Hired a 7.5 tonne van arriving 12 minutes after the proposed pick up time to find two men working on it with a heat gun due the window having blown out. drove 5 minutes from the lot, on the cusp of a hill to find it lose all power and essentially die. My husband then had to coast it down the hill to park it. Took 15 minutes for someone to turn up despite being 5 minutes from them, an employee who then proceeded to essentially shrug his shoulders of responsibility as he 'just works there' and demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge as my husband explained what he thought was wrong. Left us sat in the van with no power in freezing cold for forty minutes with us ultimately trying to resolve the matter by suggesting we would take two smaller vans from them instead. Was then taken back to the office obviously displeased to be met by the manager who gave me a half-hearted apology. Having Responded to advise I took it she would be looking at what compensation was fitting to apply, she reacted with a level of shock akin to me having asked for a £1millon pounds, I then again received the obviously Company standard approach of a shoulder shrug this time accompanied by the answer of it being 'one of those things' all whilst the man with the mechanical knowledge of a five year old stood in the corner watching the entertainment leaving my husband for a further 25 minutes sitting in the freezing van. Our 12 minutes past the hour also now turned into us being an hour late. Substandard equipment accompanied by even more substandard service. If you don't want to be ripped off, treat like an idiot and potentially drive a death trap, suggest you avoid jcs!!
