As a loyal customer of Wilton's since 2014, I've always held the patisserie in high regard. It was, without a doubt, the pinnacle of excellence in North East London. However, in the wake of the pandemic, I've noticed a significant shift in the quality of their pastries. While the designs have remained unchanged, unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the taste and texture. It's disheartening to see such a beloved establishment falter in delivering the exceptional quality I've come to expect over the years. As someone who values substance over style, I find myself yearning for the delectable treats that once graced their display cases. Whether it's a change in bakers or ownership, I cannot say for certain, but what I do know is that the essence of Wilton's seems to have been lost in this transition. I sincerely hope that steps are taken to restore the authenticity and excellence that once defined this cherished patisserie.
The cakes are truly amazing! Soft airy sponge and the fresh fruit is incredible - even includes guava! We’ve got a few cakes from here and never been disappointed. The staff are busy so not the most helpful but get the job done.
We had a cake some time ago, friends had both it and was amazing.nI am talking about the hazelnut cake, and this is out of this world . Now I went for a birthday cake , and couldn’t believe how cheap it was.nJust don’t know how they survive and make a living with those prices.nNice place to visit , but very far from where I live. And for the cake it was worth it.
I ordered my son’s birthday cake just one day before event do to a misunderstanding between family members,despite this Wilton team and specially Tina,which answered my emails within minutes,they managed to have the cake I wanted!nThank you very much!nTopper I added myself
A lovely bakery in the middle of Southgate high street. Interior is bright and modern, with comfortable seating making for a civilised atmosphere. Staff are really pleasant. There are so many fresh cakes and lite bites to choose. Parking is on the street or the nearby Asda carpark.
