Ordered a12x12 personalized vanilla Strawberry cake First pic off website.. what it should look like before personal greeting See what I got.. bubbles on surface, badly finished, wet to the touch… called shop .. apparantly my fault for not inspecting it when I picked up. It’s nothing like the lovely cakes in the shop.I disguised some faults by adding my own glazed strawberries. Cake full of cheap white sickly icing.. no ‘crushed strawberry filling’ at all. So how was this a Vanilla Strawberry cake??? Cake impossible to slice as was so wet. Horrible. Manager was supposed to call me back.. they didn’t.
Went with my young son so he could choose a cake for his birthday. He loves fruit so he settled on the vanilla fruit cake. The staff made a happy birthday plaque on the spot which delighted him even more. We ate the cake the same day - it was fresh, light, fluffy and not too sweet. The fruit was generous and of excellent quality. Great quick service and top quality cake at a great price. Very happy especially as we hadn't ordered in advance. Thank you for not disappointing us on a special day!
Was promised a fruity and nutty fresh cream cake and instead I was given a mess. It wasn't fresh at all, the cream was certainly not fresh and it was the main part of the cake. Each layer had barely any cake, it was just all cream and the biggest waste of £40 in my life. I would have had a better experience if I went to Lidl or any other place because at least they'd give me a little cake with my cream. We specifically asked for fresh cream and instead got given a day old cake that I'm shocked wasn't more stale than it already was. To make matter worse they completely botched the writing on the top, and with how expensive this place is I'm surprised they didn't make us pay for that as well. Not only all this, but the workers has the worse entitlement of my life. We planned to purchase another smaller cake and got money out to buy it the way any normal person would, by getting cash out and putting it on the counter to count coins for the purchase. According to the worker, this was a bad enough action to warrant a public humiliation by yelling at us in front of other customers to get our cash off the counter as it might ruin the glassworks. This final interaction put us off so much and embarrassed us, that we felt complled to leave. This, as well as the general distaste around both our indecision around picking a cake and us speaking Turkish created a terrible atmosphere for spending so much money at this establishment. In conclusion, this was a waste of money cake that not even the kids would eat, certainly not any adults present, and my mums birthday was ruined as the high sugar content and richness of the cake made her ill.
We got a hazelnut cake in medium on 27 May yesterday, we cut it that evening and the cake was stale, the cream inside was yellow in colour because it was that old. I can’t believe that they would sell us a cake like this. If we had not been far I would have definitely taken it back! I am so disappointed.
Wow, what an amazing selection of cakes. We had a slice of Chocolate cheese cake and a latte and a tea which came to around £13.nThe cheesecake was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend. They also have vegan cakes available.nThere is pay and display parking on the street outside but there is an Asda store about a 5 min walk away with free parking.
