A very popular bakery on Instagram. Long queue on a weekend >20min to get into the shopnnThe shop itself is very practically and functionally designed. Can see the back kitchen where the pastries and bread are freshly made. No indoor seating. A few long table and benches, which can be quite cozy if on a sunny day.nnHave a menu for coffee and plenty of pastries to choose from. Tho I heard if you come in the early afternoon most if not all popular pastries will be gone.nTbf the pastries all look stunning. The price is of course on the higher end, even for London.nnTried the kimchi suisse and miso bun, which are two of the unique flavours. I’m quite impressed by the combination of taste. Kimchi is nice savoury and miso is salty-sweet.nThe suisse looks big but actually is quite hollow and therefore not very heavy to eat. The layer tho was not as crispy as it appears, especially the bottom is quite soggy. Slight mark down on that.nnOverall, a lovely place with new and special flavours for pastries. Slightly overpriced, but worth a try.
Truly one of my favorite bakeries in London. I love the rustic atmosphere inside the bakery where, while ordering, you can admire the actual baking. The pastries are top-notch, delicious, and so beautiful to look at. I no doubt add this to my must-visit places whenever I am in London. I highly recommend it for bakery lovers and just for a quick, delicious stop while exploring the area.
About 25’ walk from Notting hill gate, I finally visited this bakery!nThere is no indoor seating, just outside tables.nOpen view of the lab!nBig selection of pastries.nI had the pain suite pistachio and white chocolate.nIt is the flakiest pastry I have ever tried!nYou could see all the layers! The stuffing was nothing special- maybe because it was cold?!?nBut still it takes 5*, because of the crust!nWould like to try more.nOverall it is nice to visit on a sunny day.nFriendly staff/
Beautiful place with exquisite pastries.nnA cosy, bustling atmosphere which really gave you a feeling of how the bakery operates.nThe open kitchen allows you to see the talented bakers at work, and provides fresh goods consistently throughout the day.nFound this place in the Britains Best Bakeries book and am very grateful I did!nnOur party had the Kimchi and Cheese Pain Suisse YUM!, Cinnamon Bun, Lemon Meringue Tart exceptional! and Wild Garlic and Pinenut pastry.nnWish we could've tried the entire menu. What a delight!
Layla Bakery is a hidden gem in London and an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves freshly baked goods. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with the aroma of bread and pastries filling the air. We tried their cheddar pastry, which were buttery and flaky, and their signature fig with yogurt pastry, which was the perfect balance .nnThe quality and care that goes into their baking is evident in every bite. A wonderful spot for breakfast, a snack, or just to pick up something special!
