It is a beautiful small shop, a good customer service.nI reached out after seeing a blogger vouching for their tasty donuts, however the donuts were super dry, something like a fried bap with filling, with strange smell of yeast or may be a dough that has left over for a very long time and forgotten. It is hard to believe this was donut by any chance.nThe Korean donut were not fluffy at all, blend with a custard/vanilla filling.nThe ice cream donut, again the donut was just not a donutnThe Matilda cake was not to bad.nI was impressed of how beautiful the shop was and warming customer service, however need a lot for work on its taste.
I first found out about Greedy Cow bakes after seeing a colleague purchase these goodies for her birthday, and they looked so good! I've not been to the actual bakery, but I've ordered 3 times via Uber Eats. All 3 times have been for family get togethers, and the response to the baked treats has been nothing but positive. My personal favourites are the Korean milk donuts. The only downfall is that the menu on Uber Eats is limited. I guess it just means I'll have to pop in-store then!
I have tried this place twice now and must say I am really not a big fan of their doughnuts, in contrast to how foodie influencers have been promoting and pushing this place.nnFirst time I went I tried their Oreo milk doughnut Korean style but wasn't impressed as I couldn't taste the Oreos at all in the filling. Dough was also too soft and sloppy, wasn't fluffy at all.nnSecond time I went I decided to give their normal American style doughnuts a go and got the Ferrero Rocher, Lotus biscoff and pistachio. They looked visually very pleasing but unfortunately taste didn't really match up to expectations. Dough was okay, it was fluffy but the filling honestly needed more work. The ferrero one was enjoyable with all the hazelnuts they put on top of the glaze but the pistachio and lotus were so disappointing they didn't taste like either flavours at all. Pistachio filling was just custard creme with no nuts texture wise and lotus one was kind of mixed either some caramel or normal custard it just didn't taste like lotus at all inside. I honestly won't recommend this place to anyone.nnStaff were friendly. The shop itself is so small you don't really have much space to walk around and see what other baked goods they have. I have definitely had much better doughnuts elsewhere and won't be coming back for sure.
worth the hype i visited yesterday afternoon. wasn't busy had plenty of options left. i went for 3 donuts they were fresh i would love to come back it's abit far for me but i do recommend to try at least once. they didn't have the baklava donut but they said the menu changes all the time so
I really wanted to love this place as it's so big on Instagram, and gets a lot of attention, however I was a bit disappointed. The donuts look amazing and are very aesthetically pleasing, however the flavour and fillings taste as though they have been 'watered' down. I got 6 flavours - pistachio which tasted nothing like pistachio flavour, crème brulé which tasted like it had gone off, kinder bueno, again had no kinder flavour, hazelnut praline which was okay but very bland, and red velvet which was not very sweet and actually quite salty. The coconut and white chocolate one was the only one that I liked and had some depth to it. One thing I will give them, is that they do put a good amount of filling in the donut, which is something a lot of donut places don't do. The customer service is also good and staff are very friendly and helpful and also the 6 box costs £18 which I think is good value for money. Just the flavour and taste of the donuts themselves needs a lot of work.
