Wanted to visit this bakery for long time.nNice atmosphere and pleasant music.nThere are not many tables inside, probably for , and few more outdoor seating.nI visited Tuesday midday and there was no queue.nThe iced americano was really nice.nI tried the honey smoked salt bun and it was delicious! Nicely combined flavors and the bun had really nice consistency!nPrices are ok.nI would like to return and try more, if though it is not very convenient as location20min walk from Mile end station.
Wanted to love Pophams and make it our new local breakfast spot, but was sadly very, very disappointed. nnThe pain au chocolat was wayyy overcooked, to the point that we couldn’t eat any of the exterior and burnt-tasting layers, and the interior was dry and stodgy with very little chocolate.nnThe carrot cake danish lacked flavour and was similarly overcooked underneath the confectioner’s sugar, albeit less burnt than the pain au chocolat.nnTried catching the female staff member who delivered our coffees’ attention to ask for a less burnt pain au chocolat but she walked away whilst we were still talking to her.nnThe coffees were well made and enjoyable, hence the 2 stars. But over £17 for 2 coffees and 2 nearly inedible pastries that left us hungry due to not being able to eat most of the pain au chocolat, was very disappointing.nnWe are sad to say we will not be back.
Worth the trip from South East London to East London. Cosy café and be prepared for limited seating though outdoor seating is also available.nnQuality of the pastry is great, you get from savoury to sweet and to something a bit more plane. I will say they have something that for everyone, or for most. Think price range is really reasonable and a good choice of drinks on the menu.
Delightful little coffee shop & bakery. Had a great flat white, staff were super friendly. Didn’t have any pastries but they looked incredible!
Incredible matcha. Authentic Japanese matcha with no sugar or anything silly. The baked goods are all baked on site and smell incredible. Alternative milks include bonsoy, almond breeze, and minor figures oat.
