Unfortunately I have more pictures than words for rating. I didn't mind the queue at all, the ordering was swift as well, but I don't get the bagels . The bagels were a tad tough but maybe that's how/ what they are here, as for the salted beef, it was at best competent, but the smoked salmon was a let down. Sorry, maybe 2 is a bit harsh, but that's caused by the social media hype of the eatery and the high expectations it set.
We went back twice for the salt beef bagel and sandwich after trying it the first time—it was absolutely incredible! The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the bagel was perfectly fresh. We stood in line but didn’t have to wait long, even when it's busy, the service is impressively efficient. The salmon cream cheese option was tasty too, but if you're visiting, don’t miss the salt beef bagel or sandwich—it's a must try!
The salt beef beigel lived up to the hype. The beef was tender and juicy, and they put so much quantity it barely fit in the bread! Bread was soft and tasty. We came around midnight on a Friday and there was people but not that many, but queue moved super fast. It's worth it, at least the salt beef one!!
Worth the hype, worth the queue, worth it all round.nThe salt beef and smoked salmon cream cheese were fantastic, but it’s the fresh, soft, chewy bagels that really made it.nPrices very reasonable especially by London standards, £7.50 for the salt beef and only! £4.50 for the salmon.nGrab & go explore the rest of bustling Brick Lane for a Sunday well spent.
Controversially, I love the atmosphere here. Busy and bustling, old and plain, but an iconic institution! You can really see the history and authenticity seeping out from its walls. I love the way the bagels are baked in-house and love the speed at which the queue moves. Also, I love how it’s totally worth the money you pay! I’ve been here more times than I can count, and I’ll be back countless more I’m sure. I do not recommend the avocado add-on because they don’t salt it, but the salmon & cream cheese is nice.
