I’m usually not a big fan of bagels, but this place genuinely surprised me. Tourist-famous spots are often overrated, yet this one really delivers — both in taste and value for money.nnThe bagels are incredibly fresh; you can actually watch them preparing the next batch right in front of you, which makes a big difference. I’d recommend skipping the cheaper options like tuna and going straight for the classics — the salt beef or the salmon with cream cheese. Both were excellent.nnThe salt beef is slightly pricier, but they give a very generous portion, which makes it worth it. The texture was perfect: chewy bagel, flavorful beef with a hint of salt, and just the right touch of mustard to balance everything. Really satisfying.nnHighly recommended if you’re a bagel fan — and honestly, even if you’re not. I wasn’t one before coming here, and I still loved it. No wonder they’ve stayed famous for so many years.
Legit bagels in London formed and baked on premises — As a native New Yorker, I’m definitely a harsh bagel critic. But, Beigel Bake satisfies that New York bagel craving even though there’s no wide variety of bagels and cream cheeses. The thing to do here is the salt beef “beigel” with mustard and pickles. Don’t be fooled by the yellow sign and lack of line just a few doors down — it’s the white sign with the line. Keep on baking Beigel Bake!
Best bagel in town? I don't think so. Rude staff, dirty place, low quality product. Living out of their previous fame I'd say.nAsked if the bagel could be seeded, no. Half the counter was covered with seeded bagels.nAsked if the southern came with sauce, no. OK can you put it, mayo, please, yes. See the pic to see how much £0,30 of mayo is worth to these people.nAlso, the sauce on their main most popular bagel, the meat and mustard, is nearly non-existent. Nothing to do with any good service or care for quality.nThe older lady that was in charge couldn't care less.nWell I hope people realise you are a big hoax and go to the one next door.nAfter trying them both, the other one is so much better and people are so much nicer.
24/7 delicious bagels with unbeatable quality and value!nBagel Bake on Brick Lane is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving fresh, tasty bagels any time of day or night. It’s open 24 hours, which makes it perfect for early mornings, late nights, or whenever hunger strikes. Despite the incredibly cheap prices, the quality is amazing — every bagel is freshly made, generously filled, and packed with flavor.nMy personal favorites are the classic salmon and cream cheese bagel, and for something heartier, the beef with mustard is fantastic — they really don’t skimp on the meat! I also often take home their challah bread and jam doughnuts, which are super yummy and always fresh. The staff are efficient and friendly, and the bustling Brick Lane location adds to the lively atmosphere. Whether you’re a local, a tourist, or just passing through, Bagel Bake is a delicious, reliable, and satisfying stop for bagels, baked goods, and more. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fresh, affordable, and filling food! Kosher options!
A very famous and consequently very busy shop, often with people waiting outside. Despite the crowd, the line moves quickly and you usually have your food ready to eat in about 10 minutes.nnI’m not an expert on beigel, so I can only give a simple opinion based on the one I tried here: the Salted Beef with Mustard. The meat was very flavorful and well-seasoned. The bread, however, felt slightly underbaked, while the mustard was extremely strong—perhaps a bit too overpowering, as it tended to dominate the overall flavor of the sandwich.nnOne thing I really liked is that while you’re waiting in line you can see the preparation area and watch the staff making the bagels and assembling the sandwiches at the counter, which adds a nice authentic touch.nnOverall, it’s definitely worth trying, especially considering it’s also a historic spot in London.
