Sunday afternoon.... live music lover? Then this is the place you want to be. Nestled in the end of Rochester high street that has the large car park, this is a little gem of a venue and, is very popular, not the largest of pubs but full of charm and perfect for a stop off after mooching around the historic town.
Great British pub, a real local. Sue and Kevin are excellent hosts. Well kept beer, lovely friendly atmosphere. Wine selection limited.
Yes really nice pub. Bar lady was lovely. Nice and clean. Only stayed for one drink though.
Amazing live music. Great bop. Nice folk. What more could you want on a Sunday. Woah. Away with the fairies!
Love it here. Always a great atmosphere, especially on a Sunday with live music. Kevin and Sue the landlords are brilliant. Great service, good prices.
Surprising rude and hostile staff. I don’t know if they were having a bad day but the two older staff 50’s? huffed because I brought my well behaved 10yr old child in whilst I had a quick drink and warm up. I was told they don’t have kids drinks as they don’t normally allow them in!; there were other kids in there… I felt like I was transported back to 1970 I also asked what beers were on draft and it was a struggle for a reply! Made me feel very unwelcome so I had a half and went to Weatherspoon’s after which was great in comparison. I will not be returning and strange as it’s a Shepherd Neame pub which are usually great.
This is the best place to be on a Sunday afternoon if you like live music. It is simply fantastic, all swashed together gives a great atmosphere. You can't beat it.
Good selection of drinks cozy little pub , barmaid very polite and good atmosphere. Worth a visit .
Nice staff in here, small and one of the quieter pubs when it gets busy on the high street
Very clean, enjoyable atmosphere with an attentative, friendly staff.
