On a Thursday lunchtime came here for a quick bite and a chat with a mate. I had the chicken goujons and a half pint coming in under a tenner. At this time of day the pub is quiet and the atmosphere conducive for calm conversation. When the situation presents I will return and recommend to those of similar mindset
Always come here when I’m in Rochester. Good traditional pub, great selection of beers and wines. Food is always good and freshly cooked to order, I’ve never had a bad meal here. Nice beer garden, staff always friendly and they have live music on sometimes.
Popped in here for a quick drink one warm Saturday lunch time with family. Staff, very welcoming, we got our drinks sat down and noticed a table with some games on. We then entered about 45 minutes of Jenga playing which was great fun and had us all entertained. Very nice pub, would definitely go back.
Wow what an amazing roast dinner it’s got to be one of the best ones I’ve ever had. We arrived on a busy Sunday lunchtime was greeted by a very friendly member of staff. The meal took about 20 mins to come out but was well worth the wait, the beef was amazing cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were also homemade and just perfect and this was served with lovely fresh vegetables. Thank you The Eagle Tavern I’ll be back soon
Dropped in for an early evening coffee and found a warm welcome, nice drinks and a cosy corner with classic games to pass the time.
A lovely pub with great food and a good selection of Beers & Ales and have a gluten free menu . The chef is very helpful . They are dog friendly . Ours even got some chicken when we ordered food . Well worth a visit

Fantastic pub in Rochester high street. Seriously friendly staff and great service. If you're looking for a place to take your four pawed buddy, this is it!
We were treated disgracefully by the owner. She and two of her friends were bizarelly rude to me and my friend because our children, 2 and 18 months, played with christmas baubles on the tree. We were continually thrown dirty looks by them during our meal, they made it clear they were talking about us, and I was barked at by the proprietor because my son touched a bauble for about 10 seconds. My friend's little girl had a bauble snatched out of her hand by the owner's friend.There was me thinking Christmas and pubs were for jollity... I must say all the other staff were lovely, and incredibly helpful in getting our food quickly when we had two hungry littluns on a Saturday early lunch time. Everyone around us thought our kids were charming so not quite sure what the problem was. Shame the owner left us with such a sour experience. I think it's a pretty disgraceful way to treat customers.
Great food spacious, felt welcome, lovely atmosphere nothing was a problem, were be going back. Thank you again the staff at The eagle tavern. Top draw.
