Overall, it was a great location, nice room, and excellent value for money. My room was clean, spacious, and bright. My bed was very comfortable and I was provided with 3 towels. Desk was especially big, with TV and kettle on, and enough plug sockets. The ensuite bathroom was well-maintained with nice lighting. The staff were polite and helpful. I would be happy to return. Rooms: I think that the upper rooms are quieter than the lower rooms. Mine was on the 3rd floor facing Swinegate Road and looking over to the coop supermarket, and it was quiet from both internal and external noise Nearby activities: The Trinity Shopping Centre is a short walk away from the hotel. There is a Thai restaurant next to the Travelodge and there is a coop supermarket just opposite it. This hotel is central to most of Leeds. Walkability: Particularly easy to walk to Leeds Train Station and to Lower Briggate. Food & drinks: I used the coop opposite to buy a meal deal and a small bottle of wine to take back to my room. This was very convenient for me because I didn't want to eat in a restaurant. It is also possible to eat in the Travelodge cafe, although I didn't, so I can't comment on it. Noteworthy details: 1-Although the room had plenty of plug sockets, there wasn't a USB socket, so make sure you bring a UK plug adaptor for any chargers. 2-Make sure you check that the fan in the room is working because if the weather is over 24 degrees, you may need to use it. I don't remember seeing any air-conditioning. 3-Bring a bottle opener if you need one, my room didn't have one, but some Travelodge rooms do. 4-Choose to stay on a Sunday night for the cheapest prices and best value stay.
Very friendly staff, great central location, discounted parking in trinity car park. Whilst all staff were very friendly and welcoming, One member of staff was stood out, and this was the young lad cooking the breakfast, he's definitely and morning person, very welcoming, nothing is to much trouble and definitely makes you feel good with his smile and cute little wave. Travelodge leeds Central, well done and definitely will stay again Noteworthy details: Very friendly staff, and clean
Lovely new decorated rooms! Rather warm and no air con atm due to refurbishment, but they did provide several fans. Very clean rooms! Staff were all very friendly! I didn't catch the person's name as we left, but hey if you see this, a big massive thank you for helping me bring the bags to the car whilst I pushed my mam in a wheelchair, you were an absolute angel, p.s I loved your earrings! Would recommend and will be visiting again!
Good clean comfortable rooms. Great newly decorated breakfast area, very friendly staff. It's in a great area near the train station, good for sightseeing and lots of different restaurants and shopping choices nearby.
Room was small but ok for one night. The bath was tiny. Bed was smaller than advertised. Booked for two people but only one small towel was given. Location was good and close to shops. Parking was discounted in trinity car park.Rooms: 3/5
Five stars for a three star budget hotel I hear you say?! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for three nights super room for UKREiiF. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating, the room was scrupulously clean and the unlimited breakfast was hot, varied and served with a smile. Best travelodge I have stayed in but generally has everything you need at a really good price during conference week and the location was perfect. The dog liked it too
Have stayed here 3 times to watch favourite acts at Leeds First Direct Arena. Great location, clean rooms and very comfortable. Good value buffet breakfast gluten free toast for me and very friendly and helpful reception guy. Walkability: Very central to all that Leeds offers - great shops and gorgeous arcades. Can’t recommend First Direct Arena enough. Good venue for concerts.
Overall, a pretty poor hotel. No air conditioning, very warm and stuffy room, the windows are opened about 2 inches, but with that comes the loud noise of a nearby bar until 2-3am, then the bottle bins as they clear up, and the trains until 1am and again from 4am as you're right next to the track. It's stuffy enough that they don't even put a duvet on the bed, just a sheet. So you have to choose, stuffy and hot, or stuffy and a bit less hot, but very noisy. Also only one towel in a room for two. Location is good, but wouldn't stay here again.
Great central location, undergoing a refurbishment, if you want a quiet hotel avoid on a Friday and Saturday night potentially as local bar plays music until early hours but if you are a deep sleeper shouldn't be an issueRooms: 4/5
Great location, bit noisy at night with the trains. Staff were all excellent. Rooms are bit tired but for the price what can you expect. Decent place to stay for a shopping or drinking trip.Rooms: 3/5
