Rooms are a good size and beds are comfy, however noise is a real issue, noise leakage between rooms is excessive, the room door locks are not secure and there is a facility nearby that plays very loud music until 10:30 pm so if you want an early night - you won't get it. Rooms were relatively clean but there were some parts of the room that clearly needed replacement. Overall not very impressed, comfy beds don't compensate for all the other downsides.
Great stay in central Leeds, 3/4 beds are really comfy. Enjoyed my stag here. However the rooms are slightly dated old-fashioned key system for entry but the shower was quality after giving it 10 mins to heat up. I'd definitely stay here again
Central location warm welcome clean good size rooms. Stayed overnight with family after attending a show. My room had a king size bed - comfy too. Dressing gowns and slippers in room along with tea/coffee making facilities. Great range of complimentary shampoo/conditioner etc. Lovely spacious rooms. Although central still very quiet and a great sleep was had by everyone. Definitely recommend.
Could get better cheaper. I know this is an old building and gladly keep some of its original features. But I shower curtain over the bath is so outdated. Nothing worse in my opinion than the shower curtain trying to murder you while having a shower. Oil burners in the room is just not sufficient in winter. On a plus note all staff are very friendly the food is beautiful.
Nice hotel, room was lovely. Slightly dated but I like that, has character. Bed was so comfy and room has everything you need and more. Very good location. Q Park very close and hotel discounted the over night parking which was brilliant. We paid £10 for breakfast which was so worth it. Food was delicious. Reception staff were really friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here for 2 nights , bang in middle of Leeds with good restaurants and night spots around it. But still not noisy compared to the other hotels I stayed. Bar has interesting cocktails. The breakfast is value for money. Best 3 star hotel I stayed in England. Only negative feedback is outdated carpets.
Stayed here for business for the past week and I was pleasantly surprised. The desk staff were extremely friendly and professional from check in to check out. I had breakfast in the connected restaurant 2x should have added it to my room to save some money and that was pretty decent. I especially liked that they give you a mini size pot of coffee as opposed to just one cup. The room itself was small in size I stayed in a single but more than enough room to rest your head. Plus it was SUPER clean. I could not find a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. Even the corners. The toiletry lit was well thought out. And while the features were a bit dated they added to the overall character of the space as opposed to making you feel like you were at a cheap rundown motel. Only negatives were that it is right across the street from a bar and I was entertained by more than one drunken rendition of My Heart Will Go On... so there's that. But overall great location highly recommend Moments Cafe next door, great price. Would gladly stay again.
When we arrived we were greeted by a dodgy smell coming from the toilets. First impressions seemed ok however once we turned the corner to go up to the room the carpets were thread bare on the stairs. The decor is really out of date and so is the room. The bathroom was not great and in need of repair. The bed was comfy but I didn’t fancy using the shower, just wasn’t appealing. We stayed at the back of the hotel which is next to a bar. The bar was supposed to shut at 1am however we heard music all night and it was still going when we left at 8:30am. Staff were very good. We didn’t get a discount on our stay though which would of helped.if we return they did say they would reduce our rate however, not sure we will return to this hotel. Absolutely knackered and had a 2hr drive home... great location though.
The hotel was quiet however used a dated key and plastic tag the just about fits in your pocket. The service was excellent both at check in, breakfast and checkout. The room was a good size upgraded to king usual tea/coffee. Bed comfy and got a good night's sleep
Hotel staff are top notch. Really friendly and helpful. I had a slight issue with the temperature in my room but they sorted quickly. Very clean tidy and great value. I had a great night's sleep.
