Great shower and comfortable beds. Rooms a little small but well appointed. Toilet in the room didn't flush well and fill neat to the top of the bowl. Toilets in the restaurant; 1 urinal taped off. The regular gents toilet didn't flush at all.Rooms: 3/5
We had a great stay down in Leeds. Celeste F who was extremely helpfully host and got us checked in early and very kindly gifted us a drinks voucher to celebrate a new job start in Leeds. She even went as far as recommending great local food spots. Hopefully when we are back we can stay in the same room 409 - great views Rooms: 5/5
We recently went to a family member’s wedding do at Malmaison, and I’ve got to say, Celeste and her team were absolutely brilliant. From the minute we walked in, you could tell they’d thought of everything and had it all spot on. The service was top-notch, and the team went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a cracking time.
Dirty trick thermostat. We set to 20° and cozied up to go to bed. An hour later we woke up sweating with the unit turned completely off. We turned it on again to the same temp, and same thing happened an hour later. We called down and were told that it is on a TIMER. That's mean. The night clerk said he'd turn it back on for us every time it turned off, which he did. In the morning manager Chris defended the system as energy saving. But I'll bet his thermostat at home stays where he put and doesn't turn off every hour! This is simply guest abuse to save save a mere pound.
I didn’t stay in the hotel although it is gorgeous I went in after getting lost in Leeds and Sheryl on reception I think that was her name was so kind and gave me directions to the station to get home to Nottingham. A truly lovely staff member you have & if I’m ever in Leeds I’ll stay here. Thanks again Sheryl!
Stayed at Malmaison Leeds for one night and absolutely loved it. I always love staying at Malmaison and this was my second time at this location. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Zeinab who checked us in. The other member of staff who stood out to us I'm so sorry but I forgot to ask her name but she was blonde with glasses and she helped us store our baggage after we'd checked out. Thank you for a lovely stay, I wish it had been longer!
tldr; wild suite, great time, typo on the carpet. The staff were attentive and helpful and personable, from reception to room service to restaurant staff. Amazing unique experience. The suite was wild, we had a great time. The bath was incredible and the decor was bananas, so much fun. It was like Austin Powers had a baby with Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen from Changing Rooms. The carpet had monochrome cursive text written across it - a sentence written around the topic of surrealism. The quote I can’t remember exactly but it has the word “originality” in it. It’s repeated, therefore there are multiple originalities written in the living room. We were baffled to notice that it is spelt wrong. It is spelt “ORIGNALITY”. Either we missed the point and this was intentional for some reason beyond our comprehension, or we enjoyed the idea that there might be a hotel carpet supplier out there who is actually winning business with corporations like Malmaison, and selling them carpets with typos. Either way, the yellow rhino made up for it and the rad yellow PVC sliding doors. We had champagne on arrival and the breakfast was smashing. The sofa - although looked cool was so uncomfortable we sat on the floor and would have prepared to relax on the rhino if there had not been such a ridiculously comfortable or bed to hang out on.
Sadly not up to the usual standard! Check-in was great. Super friendly staff and a free upgrade to a larger room. Thank you. Communal areas are nice but the hallways and rooms feel dated and in need of a modern refit. Bathroom not spotless. Looked like there had been a leak above the shower and mould visible over the bath. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Not comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing too. The lads serving were doing their best, but they needed help. Order took ages and then, when it arrived, it was stone cold. Decaf coffee I can’t have caffeine was definitely not decaf. I left, heart racing, never to return.
Had a lovely weekend getaway at Malmaison Leeds. The food and drink offering was great and we were given exceptional service by Preet. Highly recommend this!Rooms: 5/5
Great value for this hotel. I greatly enjoyed the dinners. The chef makes great vegan dishes.Rooms: 5/5
