At the time of review this is a relatively new build. The rooms are more compact than usual but clean and with all the features you expect. The hotel has the advantage of a bar/restaurant that serves breakfast from 8am and evening meals until about 9pm. A bonus for cyclists is that you can take your bike into your room and the lift is big enough for a bike too! A few minutes ride from Cambridge North Station and close to the guided bus route.

The hotel is located in a quiet, upscale neighbourhood to the north of the city centre, not many shops etc within easy walking distance. They do have a restaurant in the hotel, but prices there are a bit steep for my liking. As for my room, it was clean, and basic - no extras like microwaves or refrigerators, but the mattress was firm and comfortable. Despite warnings on their website about traffic noise, i found my room (on the ground floor) to be very reasonable.

In Cambridge for our son's graduation, Travelodge Cambridge Orchard Park was well-situated to public transport to provide easy access to the University Precinct. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable for our six-day stay. Staff were pleasant, friendly and very helpful and attentive to our needs. Plenty of car parking was convenient for our hire car.

It is a budget accommodation kind of place. With that said, it is a nice one. The room was a bit noisy (between hallway people and the close by road). The bed was comfy and the shower was nice (although the curtains don't quite stop the water from going everywhere). The toilet had a big shelf space for toiletries. Other than soap and a soap/shampoo dispenser on the wall, there are no other complimentary toiletries. There wasn't a mini fridge in the bedroom and limited space for clothing/storage. The TV is not particularly giant. The internet is only free for 30 minutes, then it costs £3 for 24hrs. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nice, but it won't blow your mind. It jas great value though. The area has a little market close by, which is pretty convenient. It is a nice place, for an affordable price... but don't expect great luxuries.

The clerk at the check in was not able to enter the proper company billing address into the computer. She referred to the live chat which could not do it either, my email to the help desk has not been answered within 3 days.This never happened to me before. German tax authorities require proper company name and address on the invoice. On the second evening my colleague and I tried again and we had a friendly and skilled person do it right! Rooms are ok, but business travellers might be unlucky with some of the personell...
