Fantastic hotel ! As soon as you walk in its WOW ! The staff are so friendly and really look after you. I was there for Sunday lunch and could not believe the great service. Staff were checking to make sure everything was all OK and topping up people's glasses as well as the great selection of food as well. Would definitely go again. It is a bit tucked out of the way but it makes up for a great view with the river running right outside.

BEWARE! We experienced the worst stay at a Hilton EVER! I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and loved it. So I was excited to rebook with points for a 2 night stay with my husband. There was a brief comment somewhere about on site construction, but that did not prepare us for how horrible it was. Nothing was really said to us when we checked in, so we were shocked to end up in a large room (only good feature) that was completely darkened. When we looked out the two windows and patio door, there was scaffolding and workers looking back at us. It was pretty shocking. In addition, one of the workers entered our room without knocking because he had a key. He thought he was meeting the manager there to approve the new windows. Poor guy was as shocked as we were that the room was occupied! Luckily, we were decent. When we called the front desk, the young woman said there were no other rooms available and offered two drink vouchers. Wow... In addition, there was no air conditioning, only an air handler that wasn't working. It was extremely warm, and, of course, we couldn't open the windows because they opened outward and would have impaled the workers. So they delivered two portable fans! I called the manager (and should have gotten her name). She was very polite, but said nothing could be done. When I said that 160,000 points was a lot to pay for two nights in a room like this one, she finally and reluctantly said that the most she could offer was a credit for 10K points per night for a total of 20K points -- hardly satisfactory for using 160,000 points and 39 pounds for 2 days' parking for a room with NO LIGHT, NO AIR, NO WINDOWS, NO PRIVACY, and NO COMFORT. I am still amazed and astonished. If we had known in advance, I would have booked the other Hilton or Marriott in Cambridge and had a wonderful stay. As a Gold Hyatt member, I protested to Hilton before posting this review, but only received 3 form letter, boilerplate, insulting replies. BUYER BEWARE...

I went for a special afternoon tea for a friend's birthday and found it slightly disappointing. The sandwiches weren't very fresh, we weren't given spoons for the dessert and sugar was in packets instead of in cubes. Small things but we paid a premium hoping it would be special.

WARNING: Construction While the renovations are in progress I would avoid this property. Yes location is convenient, but the stay is miserable. Air conditioning was not functioning in a part of the hotel, and the room windows were bolted and could not open. This resulted in unacceptable air quality in the rooms. Businesses should not be allowed to sell rooms with insufficient air circulation. Based on the front desk there was nothing they could do. "Management made the decision to continue to sell the rooms." They provided fans for the rooms but without any window to open there is no air to move in / out ... and the use of the fans just heated the rooms more as the motors ran creating heat, and there is nowhere to push the warm air. Management offered points to make up for the experience, but points don't change the experience. The experience was miserable. If you want points for a miserable stay. Book at this property. If you want a pleasant stay look somewhere else.
