An amazing place. The room Toques at the back of the hotel very quiet. The staff are helpful and friendly but not obtrusive. Had room service and the food was delicious. Would stay here age. Thank you to everyone for a very comfortable stay. Will return

We tried their lunch set menu on Saturday, it was an awful experience. we had dinner there 2 years ago, it was not too bad. but this time its just wrong all over the place. To start with, the water they served us, there was hair in it, and the glass was not clean, you could still see the finger print on it. secondly, it was not busy at lunch time, but we waited for so long around 30 minutes just for the starters. The main point is the food are disastrous! It is very small portion for the main and it is not even warm! Very disappointed! We now moved to cambridge from London, thought we will try their Sunday lunch menu next time, but we will not going to that place again am afraid. i wished i took some photos to show. well... never again.

The Hotel du Vin bistro has considerably upped its game since I was last here. A delightful menu with nice contemporary touches: Socca pancakes, battered courgette flowers, game suet pudding. Great service, and only too happy to help when we asked if they would make us a half sized portion of one of the main courses as a starter. They've also clearly listened to complaints by previous reviewers about the cold restaurant, as it was lovely and warm on a chilly January day.

We went for a family meal with fairly high hopes. I can echo a lot of the complaints others have - it is indeed cold and drafty, and bad for special diets (head waiter suggested a "vegetarian" meal to us that listed a meat ingredient on the menu). Service was poor - all the staff seemed clueless, though most were friendly and nice. Food was mostly good, but some of us received two burnt courses in a row. When we pointed this out, we were told that this was intentional. We didn't bother to bring it up when it happened again.

Great stay on there lazy Sunday package this weekend. Great value, lovely food and the room was perfect! The hotels character is what Cambridge is all about. The staffs customer service is also outstanding. We are regulars and will return again!
