We visited for afternoon tea with friends. Unfortunately the food was no great at all. The sandwich selection in my opinion were tasteless and cold. The scones were heavy and maybe little bit old. The cake/sweet selection was completely dry and cold (you can't service a chocolate lava/molten mini cake completely cold!). The macaroon has too much rose infusion in it and only the ginger snap tuile was nice. The service was good but I wouldn't visit it again.

Went for afternoon tea. Decent service - a little slow but there was a wedding so understandable. Cheese scone a little dry but nothing a little butter wouldn't solve: better still have the fruit one which was great. Good cakes. Very good cakes.

Really lovely hotel in a great peaceful space. Easier to get in to town with your car which isn't great if you'd like a drink. We stayed here to go to Harry Potter studios which was a easy drive from here. Free parking and use of the swimming pool. We ate at the bar one night too which was lovely if a little expensive. Room was quirky and spacious with a lovely bathroom.

We stayed the evening for a wedding which was wonderful, we were extremely well catered for, and had a fantastic stay. The room was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable, everything we could ask for.. with the added view of the river! Dinner and breakfast was excellent, pool and spa also lovely.

First we must mention Justin. He swept us up, took us to see all the important thinks like the amazing old water wheel, then settled us happily in the Celtic bar. Dinner that night in the bar was easily the best we have had on our trip so far. It was off to the pool first thing to swim it off! We will return.
