In a great seafront location, but first impressions not great! Such dirty windows to the main doors, and all around! But once inside, friendly, helpful staff, a good bar serving a great breakfast and rooms are fine. Comfortable beds that we slept well in and adequate bathroom. Two comments...completely understand having dispensers for soap and shampoo, but could you find something less clinical smelling?! And the wafer thin loo roll is a false economy!
Booked here for Thursday night until Sunday. Thursday night was great Friday night the night club next door was loud and kept throwing loads of empty bottles crashing into a bin every hour or so through the night. Saturday night wasn't so bad just a couple of times throwing the bottles. Had a room next to a roof and a seagull knocked the window very loudly every morning hoping for some food. A few problems with TV and key cards not working were quickly solved by the very helpful staff. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was close to Seafront and lots of other shops and sights. A good price and handy place for a seaside break. Bring earplugs and you will be fine. Rooms: Room comfortable and good for a short break. Walkability: Close to everything.
Fabulous. Reception staff couldn’t be more helpful and attentive. Emma GM couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Beautiful refurb the place looks amazing since the last time we stayed. Highly recommend. As a GM myself I take my hat off to Emma she is fabulous!Rooms: 5/5
We were so looking forward to our stay in Brighton. As soon as we entered, it was like a building site, which we didn't know anything about before booking. We chose here for the location and decided to brave it. The room we were given was on the top floor 8. Because they seem to be renovating the lower floors as well all the ground floor facilities. It wasn't too bad for us as we were out most of the time, but it was a pain with having to combat getting the lift in between the builders up and down all the time. Very disappointing stay,it will be lovely when it's renovated.
I had a great stay at the Travelodge. The staff were friendly, my room was clean. None of the negative comments on previous reviews were true for me. I would recommend it. For the price and location, it's a great deal. Rooms: My room was clean and warm. Nearby activities: Close proximity to the beach, restaurants, bars and shopping centre. Safety: I had no issues and felt very safe. Walkability: Everything was within walking distance.
Do not stay here. The hotel is under renovation, dusty as a desert and noisy. This is not disclosed on the booking website at all! Given what I paid this was not even remotely reasonable value. I got in late, exhausted, the lobby is an absolute disgrace and the renovators are drilling at 8. The location is close to a conference center and noisy bars. You could hear everything on the upper floors.
Good location for pubs and restaurants and close to Brighton Centre. Rooms at front of hotel are affected by noise from pubs and clubs. Rooms were not ready when we checked in at 3.40pm.Rooms: 3/5
Never staying here again. Booked one night with my partner as we were in town on business. Firstly they fail to mention that it’s right next door to two night clubs likeeee right next door. Entered the room… it was so dusty and dirty! There was bodily fluids on the shower wall, the remote looked so dirty I had to cover it with tissue just to use it, that’s not even the worse part… after eating an awful local fish and chips tried to turn of the light in the room around 2am… the light switch was broken meaning the light couldn’t turn off. Had to change room from 806 to 106 . Which was much better. The manager was speedy to sort out the issues the next morning that was the only good thing.. oh and the breakfast . Other than that wouldn’t recommended to my pet. 1 week later I’m still waiting for my voucher to get my money back.
So very disappointing, the rooms are really basic, no air-conditioning, one towel each , none for your hair and no mat for getting out of the shower. The breakfast was not value for money either, food dried out, lack of options. Really disappointed for the money paid. We stayed at a similar competitor and she keeps money has better rooms and far better food.
Stayed here for 2 nights very recently. Staff were super helpful with explaining everything to me as this was my first Travelodge experience. I paid for a super room which was supposed to come with a Lavazza coffee machine and hot chocolate with a chocolate treat according to the website. Instead, I got a couple of sachets of instant coffee and two sachets of tea with a kettle. Also the room got very warm at night which made it difficult to sleep at night. Not sure if this was due to the radiator automatically turning on if the room dropped below a certain temp. WIFI was really good despite other people have issues with it and it's a good location. Might downgrade to a standard room next time as they tend to be on a lower floor and basically have what I had in my super room on this visit
