Used to be cheap and cheerful but unique with laid back unpretentious vibe. No one tried too hard. Now it’s just shabby. The restaurants were a mix now they’re really low quality with several empty units. Gone are benches replaced with cheap plastic chairs and tables. And the toilets are now 50p to use, but they’re broken and still filthy.
A really good selection of food outlets and a few other things. Great to see it’s busy on a Sunday. I really enjoyed my beef and Bao.
I recently visited this Chinese food stall at Tooting Broadway Market that had gone viral online. The sign said £7 per box, but I was charged £11 for the box and an additional £1 for shrimp, so the total came to £12. They explained that the standard price is £9, but if you want more chicken or protein, it costs £11. I specifically asked for less noodles or rice and more chicken, so they told me I'd have to pay £2 extra, which I agreed to.nnThe food was okay, not the best value for money, but decent enough. I mainly wanted to try it because of the online hype. I was expecting it to be £7, but paying £11 was still acceptable. I'd rate it 6 or maybe 7 out of 10.nnAs for the location, it was my first time visiting Ting Broadway Market. It’s alright, but honestly, the internet hype made it seem a lot more exciting than it is. In-person, it’s just a regular market. There are better markets in London.nnOverall, the experience was okay, worth checking out once, but not something I’d rush back to.
A very different place to visit in the tooting area. Vibrant and colourful. Various food shops like Chinese, thai, korean, indian, Mediterranean and many others. Had wrap from Olive Meze and Shawarma. I really enjoyed the food from that restaurant. Recommended to pay a visit is worth that.
I've like everything inside the market thé food the shops and the cold drinks, it was nice and warm inside special thanks to the Flora we used their table so big shoutouts to them, the only thing that I would say it's be aware of the men restrooms your not gonna enjoy that moment :0nnBut still a nice place in Tooting so much choice of halal food for a good price :
