On our recent visit to London, we were staying in a hotel which was close to Tooting, that's when we crossed this market. I am very fond of visiting local markets and I'm so happy i went in this time as well. There are multiple small restaurants which have many meal deals and food offers with seating arrangements. There are even shops selling vegetables, meat, clothes, flowers, artifacts, salons and many more. A must visit place.
A lively mix of various food vendors and depending on which half you're in there are some smaller shops a lovely card and gift store, an alterations store etc. there's some indoor seating in a communal centre area but most seating if available is within the vendors restaurants, although some are stalls which have a street food vibe.nnGreat for exploring different cuisines and would highly recommend the card store 'Love Art' & 'Get Juiced!' for a variety of drinks! Both are opposite each other at the back end of the market.
Such a good market, it was my first visit and I was pleasant surprised. So many food stalls to choose from. I tried few and food was amazing. Inside there are tables to sit and many have their own seating areas. Butcher and other craft shops you can also find. Fruits and veggies with very good choice and reasonable prices. Place it’s busy and popular amongst the locals.nIt is located very close to Tooting Broadway station.nI recommend this place
Gutted that I didn't take any photos but I was amazed about how diverse this place offering international cuisines and shops that one wouldn't come across in conventional shopping streets. The atmosphere is exotic and large selection of food and products. We loved it and went back to try more cuisine.
By the entrance is a massive fruit and vegetables stall that attracts lots of shoppers, as well as a Chinese food stall that fills the air with spices. As you walk up you’ll see numerous independent restaurants and bars and there’s even a space occupied by pizza chain Franco Manca. There are also some fantastic wine bars to try out as well as a gin micro-brewery. I occasionally come to the market for a lovely cappuccino at Brickwood which is nestled in the corner of the market where a grocery shop used to be.
