It’s such a lovely street. When I visited on a weekday, it wasn’t too crowded. In the second photo I shared the two pieces I found: a vintage watch and an Italian links charm bracelet. As a memento of leaving the UK, I chose one with a little Union Jack charm.nnThe last photo was taken in a jewelry shop whose name I, unfortunately, forgot—it’s just a little past shop no.141. The owner, an Afghan merchant, struck up a long conversation with me after I told him I was leaving the UK for China that night. He said he often travels to Guangzhou and Chengdu for business, and he showed me all the jewelry in his shop. He even introduced me to his nephews who were helping outside, and they all came to say hello.nnWe had such a pleasant chat that, before I left, he wanted to gift me a piece of jewelry. I told him it was too expensive for me to accept, so in the end he gave me a small ring as a gift, saying it matched my bracelet perfectly. I think I will always remember that day.
I have visited London so many times in my life and lived in London for 7 years but I'd actually only been here once before. This market is so cool, filled with art, excellent food, original products and so much more. Such a must visit for anyone visiting London.
I visited on Saturday, and there were lots of flea markets set up along the streets. The Notting Hill bookstore is also nearby, and there were various performances happening in the alleys, which made it such a delight to see. If you have time, I recommend exploring not only the main street but also the hidden corners!
A Must-Visit Spot in London!nPortobello Road Market is such a fun and vibrant place to explore. There’s a great mix of food, local products, vintage finds, and unique little shops. One of the highlights for me was discovering an interesting vegan bakery – full of creative and delicious options that are hard to find elsewhere.nnThe fresh fruit stands were also impressive – everything looked super fresh and was noticeably cheaper than in supermarkets. It’s a great spot to grab some snacks or ingredients for the week.nnI love the energy of the area, and there’s always something new to see. I’ll definitely be coming back again – it’s perfect for a relaxed weekend stroll, especially if you enjoy good food and local vibes.
Fun spot, but antiques would be a stretch. There are a few shops, but most were simply tourist trap junk. It's still quite an awesome town and fun place to wander.
