Small market with a surprisingly high number of food options.nnSome lovely bars who all encourage you to eat the food you've bought outside on their premises while you buy a wine or beer.nnReally enjoyed my day out here.
Charming street with a relatively small, but very good selection of cuisines. We had Ethiopian stewed beef, tacos, and a grilled cheese sandwich all of which were delicious. We also had empanadas for takeout. One which was savoury and the other one sweet.
A 10 minute walk from London Bridge Station. Where you can visits the bars/cafes along Bermonsey Street on the way.nMaltby Street Market offers a great variety of Street food and bars allow you to take the food in, which was great. Has a great feel to the place and everyone we spoke to were very friendly and welcoming.nThe craft brewery was a highlight. And if you like that, continue to the end and turn left where there are several more craft / micro breweries which are also worth a visit
Cute street food market.nEasy walk from Bermondsey station.nA variety of food stalls and little bars along one side to eat your food, a few extra tables just outside.nExcellent coffee, great beers, very good crullers.nI would come again for sure.
We walked “ the queens walk “ from embankment with this market as our destination, but not knowing what we would find as first time visitors. On our way we had to walk through/past borough market. It was mayhem with huge queues at every stall and nowhere for people to sit and eat. Even though we were hungry we carried on walking to maltby st. the tourist crowds disappeared and we could walk past the market stalls and decide on what we were going to try. I got a delicious Cuban pulled pork sandwich and my wife chose a smashed burger. both took less than 5 mins and were freshly prepared. We then went into the closest bar where we got served a couple of cold beers and could eat our food sat down at their table. All of the stalls were friendly and some offered you tasters, with the Cuban stall helping me choose how spicy I wanted the sandwich to be! And the bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Maybe not as big as borough market but much more chilled and a relaxing experience - you would need to be a fussy eater if you don’t find something nice to eat here!
