Oh my gosh where do I start what a great place to come and shop!!nnI’m sure it looks really different this was before the plandemic!!nnI love this place I love hanging out here when I was touring London and I would go back here and just hang out they have really good handicrafts arts and crafts as well as vintage items that you can buy!nnThe guy that I’m standing with and wearing a white hat and I’m wearing a black hat he was so sweet I was a little bit short on a few pounds and essentially he gave me this hat as a gift!nWhat a sweet gentleman I hope he’s still there! And I hope he’s made a lot of people happy with all the hats that he carries and how can you be in UK without having a hat to take with you!nnI love that about the UK, because I also love wearing hats! nnThis is a definite must whether you’re tourist or even if you live there, definitely hang out at Old Spitafields Market, you will find amazing food as well as of course all the trinkets to your heart’s content!nnFollow Fauzia for more amazing little markets in UK London and beyond you can find us on social media such as Facebook Instagram YouTube and TikTok!!nn
Always come back for these staple! Very flavourful, tasty and affordable. The ambiance was great, options were endless and there were many shops around as well. Our top pick- lamb paratha set, butter cheese nan, philly cheesesteak and japanese corn!
This is also a very old market, but these days it feels less like a place full of variety and things you’d want to buy, and more like stalls simply filling space. I’m sorry to say it, but my first thought is often, will this actually sell? How many of these could they sell in a day? Why do they think such items would work, when it only makes running a small business even harder? Of course, each vendor must have pride in their business, but it still feels rather unfortunate.
Wonderful stop for food and great vibes. I stopped by the Dumpling Shack which was absolutely great. The service is great and the price is very reasonable.
If you’re looking for a vibrant slice of London life, Old Spitalfields Market is absolutely worth a visit. From the moment you step inside the covered hall in East London you’ll be greeted by a lively, easy-going atmosphere where anything goes: wandering from food stalls to fashion stands, soaking in the buzzing energy of it all.nnOne of the first things you’ll notice is the sheer diversity of foods on display. Whether it’s authentic soup-dumplings, Neapolitan pizza, vegan Ethiopian stews or New-York style burgers, the range is huge and delicious. You’ll find vendors showing creative flair and real flavour, making it easy to snack, graze or sit-down for a relaxed meal.nnOn the fashion side, the market absolutely shines: stalls by independent designers, vintage gems, bold street-wear finds and accessories galore. It’s the kind of place where you might pick up something unique, something you’ll want to wear tomorrow. And because the vibe is so relaxed, you won’t feel rushed—browse at your own pace, stop for a coffee, people-watch.nnOverall, Old Spitalfields Market offers a perfect blend of delicious international food, strong fashion credentials and an easy-going, friendly environment. It’s a spot that works for a casual lunch, a shopping wander or simply a few hours of good-time discovery in London.
