This is a traditional style outdoor market, which runs the length of a long, pedestrianised road, with an entrance at both ends. There is also a tube station at each end, making it really easy to reach by public transport.nnThere are many stalls on both sides, selling a huge selection of items, including meat, fruit & veg, toys, clothing and so much more. One side also has shops & cafes under the railway bridge that runs above it, so that increases the offering at the market.nnIt's a good market, which isn't touristy like some of the markets in London. This gives it an enjoyable, lively and authentic atmosphere. There aren't too many markets like this around anymore, so it's definitely worth visiting.
Everything you need is available at this traditional market, including reasonably priced household products, ready-to-wear apparel, and fabrics for both men and women. Falafel Hut: The best falafels I've ever tasted, delicious and freshly made. I heartily endorse it!
Shepherd’s Bush Market is, sadly, a shadow of what it once was. Once a bustling and vibrant hub, it now feels rundown and neglected. Many stalls are either permanently closed or missing altogether, and the ones that remain are often selling goods of noticeably lower quality. The charm and character that once defined the market seem to have faded. I suspect its decline may be the result of the combined impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and competition from online retailers like Temu. It’s disheartening to see such a historic market lose its appeal
