One of the oldest London markets fortunately still in operation regardless of numerous attempts to close by LBTH. The quality of the market traders items has vastly improved over the years, Reiss, Phase 8, Top Shop and many more HS are regular easy finds. The eateries are super cool particularly the lovely cafes and bakers.... So worth a Saturday visit, great banter and an amazing multi cultured vibe!
Ahhhhh this market used to be so good ... it's just cheap tat now. If you want cheap clothes from China this is the place. So forget the market and enjoy the decent coffee cafes and independent makers shops that are also on this part of the Roman Road.
I bought some beautiful flowers for £3 from the gentleman at the beginning of the market. It is a smaller market but quite nice. The local Caribbean green grocer is run by a lovely Pakistani couple and the prices are quite affordable for exotic veg. I bought some persimmons, eddoes and . Quite delicious.
