I bought some beautiful flowers for £3 from the gentleman at the beginning of the market. It is a smaller market but quite nice. The local Caribbean green grocer is run by a lovely Pakistani couple and the prices are quite affordable for exotic veg. I bought some persimmons, eddoes and . Quite delicious.
Not many stalls out as weather and trading has gone down. Its been very Long since they got rid of decent parking in the area hence the popularity of this what used to be a thriving ultra busy place. Some nice cafes and Costa moved in years ago now but still a long way to go. Better cafes are up towards st banabas church end.
Ahhhhh this market used to be so good ... it's just cheap tat now. If you want cheap clothes from China this is the place. So forget the market and enjoy the decent coffee cafes and independent makers shops that are also on this part of the Roman Road.
