Such a gem of a pub, authentic, friendly, wonderful beer garden, and extremely reasonable pricing. Try the the Farm Cider, yum!
Great little pub with a fantastic back garden, really large and can access the river for a nice walk. Dogs are welcome here so ideal! Little pricey on the drinks side but we enjoyed our time there in the sun!
Loved the vinyl decor and choice of classic rock. Interesting menu board and very personal messages from the owner! Can imagine great vibes on nights or weekends.
Slightly strange pub. Bit like a micropub squatting in the decaying remains of a large establishment. Skittle alley at back was in darkness but could see tables and chairs everywhere. Large garden at back but there are apparently plans to build flats at the back though rumours that the pub will close are not correct I was told. Were 4 ales available. The one I chose was in good condition but underwhelming. Not the fault of the pub A large group was sat at a table near the door causing slight inconvenience to people entering and leaving even though the pub was comparatively empty
Easy place to just chill. Interesting open mike and events. Interesting people
Nice little pub, great big screens if you are into sport, if you aren't is still good. Fabulous atmosphere tonight for at Patrick's Day with the rugby on
nice pub , beer garden . The manager is a miserable woman not sure what she is doing in the hospitality industry ! . Believe she is leaving soon , and planning permission sort for flats at the back and skittles alley .
Peace and quiet on a Sunday. Lovely pint and background music kept low - perfect.
Friendly pub, good ale offerings.
3 walkers popped in for a late afternoon pint after a very long walk. Delighted to discover a choice of 4 excellent ales on tap and a warm welcome from behind the bar. The background music was perfect for us babyboomers - and the mixed group of customers made for a friendly atmosphere - making our Thursday afternoon a bit special. We will be going back - and next time, having been tortured by the fabulous smells emanating from their kitchen we will try something from the menu.
