Four of us stopped for a sandwich lunch a couple of weeks ago. We were made very welcome upon entering. The sandwiches were of a very good size and came with the usual trimmings. The prices were comparative to other pubs but the quality was exceptional. We complimented the landlord on the enjoyable experience and, very important, the cleanliness of the toilets in the property. Well done The Brewers Arms!
We had, as always, an excellent meal served by polite staff. If you wanted to eat outside you could do so with lots of room. Should you want to dine inside this has been made possible by private partition between tables. Brewers Arms have given lots of thought to making this pub accessible to all. We wish them all best wishes in making this a very successful resturant and public house.
Really lovely village pub we visited whilst staying with relatives, very welcoming and the food was excellent I don't think I have had better food in a pub. we ate in the bar as we had our dogs with us both were given a biscuit and welcomed there is also a restaurant area, it does get busy so although booking isn't essential I would recommend it, definitely worth a little detour if you are in the area its a little gem.
Met a friend there for lunch and took my dog. He was very welcome as were we. Easy parking, delicious, home-cooked food, local beers and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Just how a village pub should be.
Fantastic meal. Best steak and ale pie ever!! Lived nearby all my life and can't believe I've never been before. Great service with a smile too. I will be back.
So sorry to do this, but I feel 3 stars is fare, based on our experience today. Despite the outside temperature being -1°, the heating wasn't on, and literally everyone in the pub was wearing a coat. Not relaxing at all. Unless you stood directly in front of the fire, it was freezing inside. We heard several other customers also moaning. Also, when we booked, they were specifically asked if their would be a good choice of vegan dishes, including deserts. They assured us that there would be. However, there was literally only one vegan desert, unless you want frozen sorbet on a frozen day, in a freezing venue.
What a lovely experience. Visited The Brewer's Arms this weekend and I was jealous that Martinstown had such a pub, whereas where I live we don't have anything like this all that local. From the friendly welcome, the great level of dog friendly-ness and the quality of the food, I can only give 5 stars. Not only was the pub great but the locals were very welcoming as well. A great way to start the weekend.
Fantastic pub. Really friendly staff and great food. We ended up visiting three days running for drinks and food. Highly recommended.
My first visit here. Clean, tidy, modernized country pub. Food was standard fare but well cooked. Service OK. It was fine.
Nice pub with good sensibly priced food. Staff were very pleasant too.
