Never felt so welcome somewhere in my life. The entire weekend was made 100% better with the attitude of can do that the staff all had. Everyone we met was more than willing to go the extra mile. Thank you so much especially to the people in the leisure centre for helping so much. Would definitely recommend if you're wanting some peace and quiet. Take some feed from the reception and definitely spend some time at the duck pond.

I found this hotel absolutely stunning. Beautiful old hall and stunning self catering apartments, set in the country side. Many walks available that my husband, our son and I enjoyed exploring! I found the check in simple and easy, lady very knowledgeable. But when we went to the bar for a drink, service was very slow. Only bad points are I'm disgusted there is a £15 charge PER DAY to use the pool and gym, which are usually included in hotel stays, and £5.99 for the internet, which some places charge for, but I found this incredibly steep.

Good apartment with all facilities needed. Leisure facilities on site. Stunning decor in the old building where the public room are such as lounge, bar and restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff - the ducks are very friendly too!

Spent five days here and loved every single moment. The grounds are beautiful, the apartment was gorgeous and relaxing. The staff were above-average and went beyond the call of duty to ensure I was able to explore Lancaster, Blackpool and the nearby towns. There were plenty of activities to keep me busy and in vacation-relaxation mode. The restaurant was beautiful and the food delicious. Enjoyed my stay and making plans to return sometime in the future. Keep up the good work.

This place was excellent the apartment was very nice, very clean, and extremely large... the spa and pool was also very nice and clean... Unfortunately the restaurant in the grand hall was absolutely terrible... The food was extremely disappointing service was also very very slow... Frozen scallops what were lukewarm rock hard Yorkshire puddings what must again of come out of the freezer... Along with packet cheese sauce on the cauliflower "cheese" Also the cheese board was not good... 2 cheeses but cut in different ways as to look like different cheeses....
